everyone denying Feist's influence on Hozier's song clearly missed Hozier's interview from 2014 where he noted wishing to co-write a song with Leslie Feist like.............

what song is that
@notaninstrument77073 жыл бұрын
@@RipFamWinkle dude it sounds so much like Take Me to Church tho It has nothing to do with the key, it’s the chord progression and key signature AND tempo AND instrumentation AND vibe Honestly people have gotten songwriting credits for fewer similarities than this

How come you never go there How come I'm so alone there How come you never go there How come I'm so alone there I went up to your window Lightly banging on the cymbals A writ into the night Came storming to your house My horse had worked the fields too long My bear had lost its innate calm It's true enough for not at peace But peace is never where the sea sees Our love is not the light it was When I walk inside the dark I'm calm Where we look for where we went It's only echoes in the melody How come you never go there How come I'm so alone there How come you never go there How come I'm so alone there We waste time on blame I wreak revenge Wasted energy and rejections We're living proof, we gotta let go And stop looking through the halo We carry on as if our time is through You carry on as if I don't love you And so we find the ways out To cover hard I have a doubt The room is full of eyes and empty Like your letters never sent me Words like a lasso You're an instrumental tune How come you never go there How come I'm so alone there How come you never go there How come I'm so alone there How come you never go there How come I'm so alone there How come you never go there How come I'm so alone there

i don't understand why people are always talking about where they heard a Feist song - a commercial, TV show... I've heard most her music from buying her albums. She's one of the most unique talents of the past 20 years, not a one-hit-wonder.

This one is so much of an intoxicating of a song, just draws you in with the quick tones. I sit here, throwing my head, letting music in between my swaying like the breeze of a wind caught by the voice of her song.

Shazamed Caught a Long Wind at Starbucks (worth noting that it caught my attention despite it being just barely audible, and I never shazam at Starbucks), and here I am. I just love how I always discover the best music in the most delightfully haphazard ways.

If anyone cares how I was brought here, it all started with Metric, which meant I stalked their careers, now I love Stars, Broken Social Scene etc. One day I was listening to a BSS song and Feist pops up, listened to Mushaboom etc, from that I found Kings of Convenience and so on, also being a fan of Coldplay I too saw that they posted about this and thought that it was really cool :) But in the end, it really doesn't matter how we got here - we all like the music, so thumbs up to wicked music!

Feist are planning on releasing a collaboration vinyl with the Progressive Metal band Mastodon. Feist will cover a Mastodon song and "pretty it up" whilst Mastodon will cover a Feist song and "throw some hair and dirt on it". Sounds incredible, can't wait.

Is it possible that Hozier's:Take me to church, is veryvery much inspired by this song?

KoxxMobilhome My exact thought
@sarahtoth59199 жыл бұрын
+KoxxMobilhome TMTC was not a rip off just because some of the chords are familiar to this song. it also sort of sounds like work song. Could it be that maybe they have similar sounds?

+KoxxMobilhome He has been working on this song for years. Gonzales is envious that he got nowhere while this young dude did. Inspired or not, listening the two songs, nothing reminds me of one or other. Gonzales, rest assured, that about a couple of million ppl more adore Hozier than you. cannnot help that!
