I was in my early 20’s when this song came out. I was a brand new mom then. Now my kids are grown. I started thinking about Feist tonight for some weird reason. Every time I hear this I think about the girl who broke my heart. Only one to date. Although the list a whole lot longer, just never hurt like that again thank god. But back then I used to feel like it was meant for me in some grand scheme, and maybe she was hurt and thinking about me too listening to it. I don't have any of those misconceptions anymore. Just a song they used to sell phone while she dates some obese dude with crazy straws in his hair. What an melancholic feeling this song conjures though.

I'd like you to know that what feist did here in one song and video took Madonna Britney Beyonce and more a whole career to achieve!! When listening to her lyrics again and synchronization with her video in which she shows you how to align your thoughts feelings and emotions with your chakras! Hence the rainbow colours and why she is the only one in electrical blue and Is also the sound or voice or frequency chakra hence the song. She expressed her very being in one song. Wisdom personified... No need for external game when you can do that! 💚

I do hope she expands on her 'pop' repertoire because she's clearly got an ear for a hook and I have a serious addiction to catchy pop tunes (where many an unexplored harmony lies) Of the 13+ million views of 1234 at least 50 of them are mine...probably more like 250 but I didn't want to appear as obsessive.

4-18-23 Wall Street Journal had a wonderful article on and about Feist today! And I remember Feist back in 2007 on Saturday night live. So I Googled 1234 and it brought back such fond memories! Thank you all! ❤.

2:29 - welcome to physics class, kids. Note the people on the outside of the circle have to move faster because they have to go farther to have the same angular displacement in the same amount of time as the people in the middle of the circle :o

The quality is supposed to be like that it's supposed to be kinda old school and nostalgic. Very awesome and artistic.

It is unbelievable that a great artist like Feist as well as many others do not enter the Grammy Awards. Nowadays, commercials are rewarded more than real talent.

My four-year-old niece loves the Sesame Street version of this song, so I decided to show her the original song. To my surprise, she really loves it and she asks me to let her watch this video all the time. She really likes the outfits and the "weird dancing". 😅 It's super cool that a four-year-old is able to appreciate a song like this. I even showed her a couple of Feist's other songs as well, and she really likes "Mushaboom" and "I Feel It All". I'm totes winning Best Uncle, you guys. 😁

What is it that manages to make this song both sad and nostalgic and utterly joyful at the same time?! I love it ❤ love it ❤. I'm pretty old now, but it conjures up the energy and joy of youth in just a few perfect minutes. That video. 👌🏻👏🏻👏🏻
