@@iceydicey77 first of all, which part makes you sure it's a wolf and can't be a fox?? fox and wolf can look similar, especially if it's stylized anime and huge. However, I know it's not a wolf but the Chinese mythology fox-like creature with wings because its cn name is literally 飞黄, and it matches the description of being both fox-like and has wings.

@@Sky-rw5vq Feixiao has both chinense and Japanese ideas mixed in with her design, her jacket and outfit is based off of Japanese biker gangs. Her animal friend, is based off of either the Japanese flying Wolf or the Flying Fox from china. Could be either one of those. Buut Wolf would fit her conflict with her Fox side and Wolf side.

@@ysmir6379 her spirit's Chinese name specifically means the Chinese flying fox. Why would they use Japanese things for a Chinese character? It's just a windbreaker jacket, not invented or exclusive to Japanese biker gangs. What Japanese flying wolf? could you give the name? Even if some creatures are similar doesn't mean it's referencing a Japanese element. Japan borrowed a lot from China.

@@Sky-rw5vq i'm not entirely sure, but my best guess is that the confussion comes from the fact that in all her trailers and even in the boss fight in story missions, this winged fox-like creature was shown as her "inner beast" aka inner borisin, so a lot of people thought that "if borisin is a wolf then this spirit must be a wolf too". The problem that this spirit is actually not her "inner beast", it's her spirit of the hunt, that every general of xianzhou get from their aeon, and it is called "Flying Aureus". It's similar to Jing yuan lightning spirit. And, if i'm not mistaken, Hoyo mentioned that only in one line from promo materials. So all this sutff about red-glowing Flying Aureus being her inner beast is just part of Feixiao imagination. But devs dellivered pretty bad, so a lot of players who didn't saw promos and just play through story, thought that this "thing" is a wolf because it's represents her borisin side
