Feker IK75 V3 with QMK and VIA | Unboxing and Flex Mod

The only difference this kit has from its previous versions is the QMK and VIA support and silicone dampeners so I think you can still do the mods I did on this kit. The Feker IK75 V3 QMK/VIA is only available in the wired version even if the Shopee listing said it has batteries.
I had fun building and modding the keyboard and I forgot to mod the stabilizers. It sounded normal so It's hard to notice the slight rattling.

ohhhhhh that's a tough choice! I will also be covering the mod006 in a few days maybe that would make up your mind. But as an advice you can take the feker and sell it out when you have extra cash for a higher kit.

@@pusakalmkb True. Priced at Php5.7k and only plate mounted. South facing is a good add on too though that's asking too much. Still a very good board for a 75% board with a little bit of tweak and mods.

This is kinda late, but to be fair the V3 stabs are as good as plate mount stabs get, even out of the box mines had 0 rattle and were tight to the mounts both on the PC plate and steel plate!

Do White Jades need to be lubed or are they good stock? Also, are they a good upgrade from Boba U4Ts?

I prefer lubing it with Gazzew method and donut dipped springs. U4T and WJ have different tactile feel. White Jades have sharp tactility while U4T is rounded. It's hard to compare the two. Better to have both.

I have this board but I’m getting a lot of ping from it. I’ve tried taking it apart and the ping is still there, even if I’m holding the internal part (PCB, silicon dampener, and PC plate) and pressing down on a key. Any thoughts? I’m using Zealos V2 switches and Akko’s Clear keycaps

@@pusakalmkb so after taking it all apart and trying as many things as I could, I found out it was the switches themselves causing the ping noise. After switching to Gateron Pro Red switches, the noise disappeared. I think it didn’t help that the Zealios switches were not lubed

@@GadaruTy if you play games and will press on some keys hard and for a long period it’s probably bad, but if you just use it for typing and you type like a normal human being then it won’t be a problem.

I think flexible keyboard would cause different sound at different due to the board being more rigid at the edge. I would prefer consistent sound across the keys except for a few special keys like space bar, enter and maybe shift.

Buying your first keyboard I think it’s better to buy a prebuilt so you can use it right away. Hobbyists only choose barebones because they already have a preferred keycsp or switch. You may also look at the Akko PC75 or the Lychee G80.

Cuz you can get the keycap sets and switches you like. A lot of budget pre-builds have ugly keycaps and pretty bad switches. The Akko switches are much better than the Gateron reds that come on a lot of pre builds and for a similar amount of money you get a board customised to your preferences.

I hope someone can answer my question, but is there a way to change the RGB lighting under the keys to a solid static colour? I’ve seen other people have rainbow keys but a solid colour on the edge of the case, but this is the only video I have seen that just uses static colour. I would like if I had a solid colour for both the edge and under the keys. Or even better, if I would set two colours in a ‘wave’ for both the edge and under the keys.

I think you need to get the json file and load it.

@@jtechmkb I ended up sending the qmk version back. No files available, nothing on the QMK website about it, nothing. Do not buy, would be my recommendation. Shame, because it was lovely to type on, and physically well made.

@@TwoDogsFighting I had the same issue and I just reflashed the firmware to the one available on the VIA website. The issue is that the one they shipped to you (and me) only supported VIA 1.x. You just had to update the firmware. Kinda late, though.

I have Feker IK75 pro ultra that I bought on Amazon just a few days ago. Everything is good except the battery which I cant get it to 100% and Feker software. Bluetooth battery indicator says it is at 80% max. Feker software can not go past the logo screen. Does anyone have experience with the problem I have? I usually try to avoid Chinese brand because their tech and customer support are bad. I could find any custom keyboards beside the chinese brands like Epomaker, Akko, Feker, GMMK, Keychron. I have a logitech G915 and that thing works out of the box.
