Fela trying very hard to pass a lot of knowledge across but the interview is so bent to ask questions revolving around is understanding and comfort. No shakes! Fela is just the best musician Africa has produced and he's trying to understand while an African, believed to be a total Illiterate (during his time and region), will have such believes and thoughts..

Wow this is a true legend. He should have been awarded a doctorate. RIP. I hope we get more people like you (in a lot of ways) in Africa.

Legendary indeed but a worthless doctorate would have been of no value to a revolutionary hero like Fela? His vision and sacrifice were for Africa not personal reward.

all these new artists say fela is their mentor but they don't embody his values. He was more than just a ganja smoker who performs with pants.

The GOAT Fela Kuti. He was a beacon of light against political injustice. Always spoke the truth. Even his public display of smoking was part of his rebellion against the state. Dude was a musical genius who embodied the spirit of a freedom fighter.

I used to go see him life at his Shrine back in the days. This is the first time I am listening to a Fela interview and now I understand that his mindset is way too advanced for all the timid Nigerian rulers. What an intelligent interview. Incredible!
