Feldkirch, a stroll through local town

Feldkirch is my nearest local town where I grew up in Austria. I didn't plan an entire video but couldn't stop myself filming. Feldkirch celebrated its 800th "birthday" in 2018. You'll find a very relaxed atmosphere in this town, very likeable.

Tamara, wow, I can see why you moved back home. You grew up near an amazing town. The town I grew up near is nothing like that but then again my country is only 250 years old. Eight hundred years ago where I live now was open prairie grass land with herds of buffalo that numbered in the thousands. Sadly all that is gone and has been replaced with massive fields of corn and soy beans. Wildlife in my state of Nebraska has had to adopt to the ever encroaching civilization. Flocks of wild turkeys; coyotes; foxes; deer; even a couple mountain lions have been found roaming the streets of my town. The aerial assault is lead by hawks and eagles. So even though my city is fairly large, wild life has adapted and abounds. Yes, and they all think that gardens have been grown for their own buffet. Have a great Feldkirch day. Nebraska Dave

Hi Dave, well sadly this sounds quite right. But also here more and more buildings appear everywhere. The world's population is ever increasing and some people find that even positive. For now I enjoy as much nature as possible. Have a good weekend Dave.

Thank you so much. My husband and I were based in Feldkirch over Christmas the year before he had his stroke - such happy memories of a lovely town, friendly people and super Christmas when we were able to get out and about. Plus the biggest portions of cake I have ever seen!!!

Beautiful town, the buildings and market stalls and no graffiti anywhere, with all those wonderful things it would take me a week just to walk round that market, thank you for sharing

You would find a few neglected spots with Graffiti, usually around the stations etc. but in general it is very tidy everywhere in this region.
