I get Brady, but Bill hasn’t re-stocked the team. If he picked like a normal GM, the Pats would be better. Cole Strange in the 1st, when you could have had him in the 4th. Terrible offense last year and no WR’s until the late round of the draft. This has been our biggest problem. I believe Bill could coach up a mid-level team, but he has to draft talent to get there.

Come out and say it Felger - play Zappe the rest of the year, work to develop Malik Cunningham into a quarterback, and the quarterback room come 2024 can only be Zappe, Cunningham, and whoever the Patriots pick up in the draft or signing an undrafted free agent - Jones has to go

The Patriots are in shambles, but they have a very easy schedule remaining except for the Chiefs game. They could easily win four more games and finish the year at 6-11, which is terrible, but after what they've been through it would feel like an improvement. The more games they win, of course, the worse their draft position will be, not that it matters if Belichick controls the draft. I'm sure he'll eschew receivers and offensive line in favor of more defensive players. Patriots really need to hire a GM and coach and convince Belichick to retire.

It starts with finding the right coach and GM. Have to do that before they can think about a QB. The priority of the new GM will /should be to draft the QB of the future. Then you address the offensive line. Might be able to get lucky and get a decent receiver in later rounds.

The Commanders are not as bad as Felger thinks they are. The defense has been terrible, but other than the Buffalo game and a short week against Chicago, they’ve gone toe to toe with everyone. They should’ve beaten Philadelphia twice, and they’ll likely end up with around 7-8 wins. Maybe an outside shot at the 7 seed in a weak NFC.

I remember one time they want a tough game against San Diego in 2014 and the whole next show they spent the time saying " well now there's no excuse. It's win the super bowl or bust." The Patriots did go on to win the super bowl, but I did find it amusing that they found a way to make a win into a negative... A way that they could say that the Patriots have now have higher expectations and failure would be disaster. That was a common angle they would take during the great years. Just play contrarian and find a way to piss on the Patriots success all the time. Of course now it's warranted but back then it wasn't and they still did it
