You can't fail the SAT. Your score determines what kinds of schools you can get into. I would imagine she paid for her daughter's scores to be at a certain level so that she can get to a fancy ivy league college. Schools also make kids do practice SATs for years before taking the real ones in their Jr and senior years. So wtf was her daughter doing all that time? What was she, as the mom that cared so much, doing for her kid during all that time? Was she paying for tutors? Was she going to school meetings or speaking with the guidance counselor? Was her or her husband actively involved in their child's education enough to know what she was actually good at? Maybe the girl is bad at test taking. There are ways around it. That entire situation is a shit show, it's disgraceful and I'm glad they all got caught and are paying for it.

The daughter knew what her own original SAT scores were. The scores are addressed to the person who took the test. She had to know that her mother was involved in her application process. The daughter should have not been allowed to be admitted into the University. The daughter should have studied & retaken the SAT then delayed applying to college intil she received the new results.
