Bulan won Felip the Wish Bus Breakthrough Artist of the Year Award. He also performed this in Grammy's Recording Academy Global Spin, the 1st Filipino boy band member and Southeast Asian to hold that distinction. For some reason, the performance video was no longer available in Grammy's website.

Love Palayo❤️ His stage presence during his solo set at the ppop con 2023 was unreal. It almost feels like an alter ego. Soooo goood! He’s my new obsession. 🔥 what a total package!

I fully recognised Ken's talent from the start. I called him the dark horse and as a silent SB19 fan for some time I waited for the day he would emerge as a star. I think he is the most famous as a solo star among them right now. Funnily enough, he isn't my bias. My soft spot is Pinuno (Pablo) because I am still an SB19 fan and love them as a group more... so it makes sense to me that Pablo gets my attention more. So happy for Ken, of course, because they all so deserve to be recognised.

Surprisingly he’s said Palayo is his least favorite song! I love it though and can still remember the moment he unleashed it on their online BITZ concert. I was shocked and amazed our shy Ken was suddenly this different character altogether. I think you’re right about Bulan expressing Felip. Bulan is a character buried deep into our Visayan identitiy as a whole and kept alive only through our oral traditions. Short background, Bulan was a warrior moon god swallowed by a sea serpent who fell in love with his light. He fought back and managed to make the serpent spit him out but the trauma was so much he forgot he was a god and believed he was a mere mortal. You understand a lot more than you think you do, Hurraira.

Palayo is such a very sexy song.. If I can choose the best songs of SB19, group and solo, Palayo and I Want You are the ones for me and I agree, Ken/Felip is such a versatile singer.. He's very unique and has rare talent.

Hope you could get the English subtitles bc the song is done in his local dialect of Visayan/Cebuano.It’s a very endearing song bc it deals with a painful separation . As you know, coming from a financially challenged family, his parents had to seek opportunity outside the country leaving him with his beloved grandmother. Unfortunately, she passed before the group SB 19 became recognized.Very, very sad story.

Please follow up this reaction, Hurraira, with a watch of "Bulan Dance Practice" video. This is where Felip and his crew executes a difficult style of hip-hop dancing called krumping. It is unusual, they say, in dancing to hip-hop tracks, to perform krumping throughout a whole song. But then, "Bulan" is not the usual, Felip might just have created a genre all its own with this music. Gidkiddad, another foreign reactor channel who supports OPM refers to this as "sewer pop" (describing the musical depths his voice can reach), for lack of an established musical category. Indeed, Grammy's Recording Academy's Global Spin took notice and asked him to do a performance of Bulan. Kindly react to that video, too. Thanks so much!
