Hi Kay! We first saw this as his solo performance in their last online concert and many people got good feedback. So I guess that prompted Felip to do this, which is a smart thing to do. Ken is indeed one of a kind. Personally, I am a proud Bisaya here. Right now, while appreciating his achievements and existence, I am starting to regret the fact that I did not meet him before he went famous. His hometown is just a few kilometers away from where I lived. "PALAYO" is a bisaya word means "AWAY" The whole song is actually in bisaya (one of Philippines local language) because Ken is bisaya and he used his real name Felip for his solo. Yes, he's really Felip Jhon Suson and his nickname is Ken. He wrote, co-produced the music with Pablo's brother Josue, did quite a bit of the choreography but also worked with three of SB19's dance crew who are also choreographers, was the creative director, and executive producer. Ken's been pretty busy after the concert. The song's not in Filipino, it's almost completely in Bisaya, which is Ken's language. It's also his second release as Felip, you can check out the lyric vid of the first, a collaboration with Matthaios of Pangga (meaning sweetheart). His part is in Bisaya, too. BTW there's a Palayo dance challenge on Tiktok and I think you'll nail it, Kay. Tank Bautista (tankbmusic) posted a cheat video recorded during one of their rehearsals. Care to check it out? Felip first performed this at the BITZ concert, and it was his solo act. It was already so good at that time! He wrote this song himself, using his native tongue, the Visayan language.
