He's also the most misunderstood SB19 member, and he gets hate every now and again throughout their career. Some haters would go down to a level that you would never imagine, like target his family. He's actually a pretty deep person and very talented. His singing and dancing skills are innate talents. Mark had said something about Felip being lucky he found music or else he's gonna be a depressed person. I heard someone (a famous person) had said the same thing to Eminem.

Being a Tagalog speaker, I remember how hard it is to sing and memorize Kanako which is sung in Bisaya dialect - Felip's native tongue. Until now I still cant follow esp the rap part. Thank you for reacting to Kanako. 🙏🏻 More power to you guys!

Kanako can be a worship song, a song for his family, and his fans. He said it during his solo show in Dubai last year. Ken is a prayerful person. He grew up in the province, raised by his Pastor grandfather and grandmother. He was raised in the church. His parents left him and his sister when was little to earn a living in Malaysia.

The song, Kanako is actually Felip's tribute & gratitude to God, his parents, sisters & family, to his Sisiws & Siwperiors as well, as ATIN & to his various other friend & supporters who were there for him when he needed them the most, who never forsake him in good times & in bad, who stuck with him come hell on high waters, even if heavens fall. Especially to those who stood for him against the tirades, bashing & attacks by his haters & bashers with the intent on pulling him down but contrary to their intent & purpose with the help of God & Ken's followers & his own desires & belief in himself, including his talent & skills, Ken is able to convert them as energizer & fuel to keep him going. tbh this crossing over genres especially pop to rap to rock is not at all normal in the Philippines like you guys think. Music artists stick to their genre just like in the US or else they gonna get all the hate. What FELIP is doing is unheard of and he and SB19 are literally the only ones doing it and actually getting away with it despite all the haters. They have a lot like I mean a lot of haters most of all FELIP/Ken but he just keeps doing it. He doesn't care about other people's opinion and only himself and his fans matter when it comes to all his solo stuff. These artists are brave asf. They just do what they want and fans love it.

Kanako actually as Felip mentioned is meant for him, his family, fans and esp God. He's being grateful and thankful for everything hence he wrote the song showing his appreciation. Felip never fails to rep his roots by writing songs in his vernacular, the title means "me" in Bisaya or Visayan dialect. It's such a pretty amazing song and the mv is just great featuring his fans too. This alternative/pop rock era suits his persona well esp. his vocals but whatever genre tho he's just killin' it. This also has that late 90's-mid two thousand feels too. His versatility and authenticity as an artist is very admirable and incredible. Check out his Superior Sessions (with live bands) too it's awesome!

There was a video, SB 19 arriving in the airport, the 5 of them, the 4 while walking in the aitport, waived and greeted the fans, but Ken/Felip all throughout was wearing a headset and walked withput acknowledging the fans or people along the way, a lot of people ilmisunderstood him and say that he was rude at that time, a snob and fame got to his head But Ken is an introvert. Kanako is not in tagalog or Filipino, it is 1 of the dialects used by filipinos in the province.
