Felip was the first among his SB19 brothers to come up with a solo single (and EP and then a full album). He is a risk-taker, not giving so much hoot if his songs will be accepted for as long as he can express who he really is in terms of music. Palayo is all in Bisaya, a language most Filipinos do not even understand but Felip, proud as he is with his native tongue, continues to use it in his songs. His first solo perf at WishBus was Palayo and he had the jitters but his bros cheered him up at the sidelights. His Bulan gained him an invite to perform at the Grammy Global Spin, the first full-blooded Filipino to do so. Josh is second with his Yoko Na. (Personal observation) Felip/Ken is a silent person/introvert. But he's always been vocal about his feelings through his music, whether it's appreciation for fans or diss track for haters. He will not sugarcoat it. He can make fans cry with happy tears and will definitely not hold back for haters when provoked..and I love him all the more for it.

Superior Session performance is the best. It is on Spotify love to vibe when you want to get into a certain mood. Minus the visuals of MV still rocks. He performed Palayo as an unreleased song in their online convert I think and fans told him to released and he did. Pablo truly encouraged him as he still finding his voice through his own song. All five are very supportive of him. In Wish Bus Palayo Pablo was watching him behind the glass door for support.

True, Ken said in an interview that he hated his low voice bec he can't hit the high notes. But the ever supportive Pablo encouraged him to be confident of his voice and gain skills to improve it. BTW PALAYO is a Bisaya song (bisaya is Felip's dialect) I'm a proud bisaya too. Felip/ Ken is very proud of his roots. He's a country side boy which he's very proud of. That's why he always make it a point to insert some bisaya words on his songs ❤

Just a correction though, Bisaya is a language and not a dialect. It is very different from Filipino or Tagalog. If a Bisaya speaker converses with a Tagalog speaker, they would barely understand one another. Just like how I , as a Tagalog speaker, don’t understand this song without the subtitles. 😅

This is what i love about Felip, he's not afraid to be and to do something different cause his music is unique atleast in the music industry here in the Philippines. Bulan is indeed the song against haters, written by him and produced by him and Pablo's brother Josue. He used filipino folklore characters as a metaphor for the main topic of this song which is crab mentality Palayo is his first single and my all time favorite Felip song. His voice is good in many genres but his voice r&b is just my fave, so eargasmic.

Felip writes and produces most of his own music. Palayo, his first Solo was not his first choice but his fans wanted him to release it. You can watch the making of Palayo and he'll explain it more. The Wish performance was his first ever live solo. The boys were there encouraging him on. As for Bulan, the disclaimer at the beginning pretty much sums up why he made it. Felip wants young people to understand and embrace Filipino history! Stell freestyle the chant at the beginning of Bulan for Felip. He is an introvert that has really opened up over the past few years. He's extremely sensitive and tends to get very emotional. You'll see this when you watch the Cashual Chuck series! HI, WAITING FOR IKAKO AND SB19’s ENDORSEMENT MV/SONG The name “Bakunawa” is derived from the Cebuano and Bisaya term “baku” (meaning “to cover”) and “nawa” (meaning “causer”). Thus, Bakunawa is often referred to as the “Moon-Eater” or the “Eclipse Bringer” due to its role in causing lunar eclipses. (from GOOGLE) bakunawa is scared on loud sound so Bulan’s instrument is louder than ken’s voice

Ken didn't want to release this, much more make an MV, as he finds it cringe. But their management at that time told him it would be a waste if he didn't. Glad he gave in.
