Hey Guys great report! Why do the warpcoven only play with 2 sorc and 6 tzangoors? The rules allow tò have 2 sorc + 8 tzangoors or 3 sorc + 6 tzangoors. Two operatives less it's a big nerf!

Should be Sorceror leader and 10 guys, with sorcerors and rubric marines counting as 2. Max 3 sorcerors total. Unless something changed?

Another balancing option: Frenzy grants your opponent lethal +1 in melee combat. Not sure if that is a keyword, but I mean to make the requirement for a crit result one lower than it would be if the goats weren't frenzied.

it's not a keyword, but it's a mechanic that exists for the compendium traitor space marines : "you can retain one of your attack dice results of 5+ that is a successful hit as a critical hit (if you could already retain one of your results of 5+, you can retain one of your results of 4+ instead)."

I really love your work with this channel but you seem to be playing with one hand tied behind your back. Your meant to have 3 sorcerers and 6 tzaangors. That 3rd sorcerer with double fight is essential.

Hey guys. Love the channel. One thing i noticed is that around the 21 minute mark, the fellgor mangler scored a crit. He would have been able to instantly ship a second hit through for the kill without taking the damage. A very key thing to remember with him!

Sadly his tactual hunter ability only works if he fights in combat against an operative that is not ready. Which in this case, Pete's tzaangor is a ready operative.

I honestly don't know what GW was thinking when they wrote the Fellgor rules. Hopefully they'll be toned down in the upcoming balance patch 😬

Seth here! Narratively it’s a cool idea. The implementation however changes how the game plays to drastically. Hopefully they find a nice balance to level them out, as I do enjoy the aesthetic!

@@2CasualYT For sure, aesthetically frenzy makes sense, but what were GW thinking when they decided to give everyone one the team Only in death does duty end, they literally said they wanted to move away from such a thing when they talked about Compendium marines. And then they create this abomination. Sometimes i wonder what they are thinking.

Rip warp coven. I personally believe cp rerolls tend to be a trap. Maybe beast men need to be valid shooting targets and drop with a crit? Fun game regardless

yeah, CP rerolls are the least amount of dice (1) per CP. Savage Herd would be a far better use, I think; especially if you can get the combat support to give the auto-crit for finishing off frenzy.

frenzied beastmen should not count for scoring objectives and should not be allowed to end a move or dash further from an enemy unit than when they started. and you should be able to remove a frenzied beastmen with a hit from a weapon with blast or torrent as you literally deconstruct their shambling body.

I think there are 3 teams that can challenge beastmen: 1. Harlequins (Open > ItD): they can use vantage points to avoid fights with fly; CEGORACH’S JEST is a great ploy vs Beastmen that hit a lot but badly; you have autocrit in melee with Epic and can 1shot frenzy goats. 2. Warpcoven (Open > ItD): they can reduce charge range of beastmen (magic>equipment), they have autocrits in melee with Tzangoors, they can double fight. 3. Talons of the Emperor (ItD > Open): Lethal 5 is almost autocrit in melee, Custodes with shields can doubleparry so usually just 1 dice remain for Beastmen, can double fight, if they go on-guard they are almost unchargeable (beastmen don't go on frenzy if they die during their activation.

I got a draw with Intercessors against Fellgor in Gallowfall. Mostly due to poor deploy from the Fellgor player putting too many to one side of the board.

Pathfinders we're pretty nasty when they first came out. 13 ops, 4 consecutive chain activations, the ability to shoot you if you were merely visible, cover and obscurement did not matter. and for 1 CP you could steal the initiative every turning point and pop your chain activations. All with quality good equipment They were insanely overturned, but GW was good with their balance changes and realled them back in into a decent to play with or against team. There were many gentlemen's agreements to simply not play the team in tourneys as a form of protest. GW has been pretty awesome with this game rules wise and balances things out, but it does take a little bit of time between quarterly balance slates, so a bit of patience is begged. this team hard counters a good number of teams that can't melee, especially in ITD, so we'll likely see some balanced go that, hopefully keeping them fun and playable for all

@@2CasualYT I think the problem is that they're churning out kill teams too damn fast. Slow it down, give people a chance to learn the teams, balance them. But the current cycle and the perpetual power creep advantage of the new team makes people desperate to instantly pick up every new kill team that comes out.
