another dude murdering a wedge , too many guys waste time with wedges , I know their reason , if your experienced and have fell a lot of tree's over the years. Then you prettymuch know how , where and know when their going to fall.

did you refer to 6:43? The wedge is right at the hinge which gives you zero leverage! The wedge should always be furthest away from the hinge to use a longer leverage... not everybody knows that. In some cases you want to stabilize a tree (e.g. side leaner) by using a wedge on the side, but not in this case, at least thats what we can see from the viewpoint of the camera...
