have a question and I apologize in advance for my english. first of all you have to use felling wedges? the man in the video did not use wedges. 2 Ask you to tailor a wedge-like shape out of the tree at the beginning and then you cut straight into it from the back. This cut that you make at the back should be a little higher than the first cut and you shouldn't cut it all the way through or ? I'm just learning and would like to work in the forestry business

That made my eye twitch multiple times. Try this: Establish the height, hazards, and lean of the tree. Next, establish an escape route- 45 degrees away from the intended direction of fall. Now you can start cutting... Notch- 70 degree or greater top cut, flat bottom cut, no bypass, at a depth of 25-33%, leaving 10% hinge wood. Back cut- straight in toward the apex of the notch. When it starts to go, immediately engage chain brake, point bar to the rear, and take your planned escape route. You can stop when you hear a "thud". I could give more details on each of those steps if needed. "Yes", you're unharmed and the tree is on the ground;... but ALL by the grace of God. Tree felling instructor. Like, for money. Like, that is my job title.
