This week's drop is Tim Wendelboe's Nacimiento! We go over Pour-over and Espresso for this coffee.

🌎 Origin: El Cielito, Santa Barbara, Honduras
💦 Process: Washed
🔬 Varietal: Pacas
⛰ Elevation: 1,500 - 1,800 MASL
POUR-OVER
Dose: 20g
H20: 340g
Temp: 205 F
Grind setting: Fine-Medium Fine. 1-2 on Stock Ode, 4-5 on SSP MP (5 clicks off chirp).
Espresso Recipe (Turbo)
Dose: 18g in
Out: 54g out
Time: 20-25s

Amazing coffee, and I love how you all lay this information out for us! Was able to get the best out of my XF with slight adjustments of ratios! Thanks for this drop!

This drop was totally worth the wait! I'm getting juicy raspberry upfront and a dry, plum-like finish. I ended up tightening the ratio to 1:14 just for personal preference of a heavier body.

When you reference Ode ‘clicks off chirp’, do you mean each individual tick mark on the Ode dial, or the ‘1-11’ number marks on the dial? Thanks! ex1: chirp at 1 on dial, so 5 tick marks up is 2.2 on dial ex2: chirp is 1 on dial, 5 numbers up is 6.0 on dial

What grinder did you use for the espresso?

Just to clarify…for these pour over recipes (with the multi-100g pours), do you need to wait until the brewer is completely drained to add the next pour?

Hi, I just got the Ode with SSP Burrs, you guys installed the burrs. When you say : Grind setting: Fine-Medium Fine. 1-2 on Stock Ode, 4-5 on SSP MP (5 clicks off chirp). Do I need to adjust my Ode 5 clicks or does it come like that?

You can just set your ode at 4-5 and you'll be good to go! No need to calibrate anything :D Thanks, Brian

Hailie here! Typically + consistently, our Fellow HQ water (what we use for brewing) reads out at 108 - 120 TDS
