I really think that Speed Is Relative is the last true skatepunk record.. No click tracks or samples, ambitiously mixed and composed and purely authentic. You can hear that they were at the top of their fucking game, and it's way more interesting to listen to it this way, rather than if it were all quantised to a grid, pitch corrected and sampled to sound as lit as possible. Less is more, there's beauty in the fact that they sound larger than fucking life but completely grounded.
