As someone who struggled to read the Bible for 10 years, this is my message to anyone with this question: I’d say that the way you can read it is by first asking the Lord to reveal Himself to you. It was tough for me to see the Word as something more than words in a book that could mean anything, because I didn’t know that the Bible is not something to be agreed with but to be revealed to me through the Holy Spirit. Regardless of how people may have tried to tamper with it or not, His Word still remains consistent and true because God is alive and He is not an author of confusion (just as the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 14:33, I’ve discovered this to be true for myself) so His Holy Spirit provides us clarity and discernment to understand when we read it. That is the wonder of the Almighty God we serve. It’s a journey, and if you need something easier to digest you can read New Living Translation or New King James versions but regardless of whatever version you read, focus on asking the Holy Spirit to guide you not the logistics. I now see how powerful God’s Word is not because of my understanding but because of asking the Holy Spirit to guide me and open my heart to receive His Word the way He meant it. (1/2)

I'm sorry for your loss I lost a mother at 17, I do believe that Satan uses traumatic experiences like this to cause anxiety and depression in our lives to keep us away from God, But Jesus has a way of using these type of tragedies to draw us closer to God, As Children of the most high we have to expect to be hated misunderstood mocked and judged by the world because Jesus went through it himself but just remember that eternal life and heaven is waiting on us keep up the good fight of faith Soldiers I know it gets tough but Jesus is with us.

Some context for those who don’t know as I once didn’t: The Bible is the “Living” Word of God (John 1:1 and Hebrews 4:12, I leave the verses for you to read on your own and see the context around it for yourself). This means that because God is real and God is loving, His Presence (which is His Holy Spirit) is accessible to everyone. And it is through the Holy Spirit that we can understand God’s Word and watch how it comes alive in our lives personally, regardless of the apprehensions any of us may have in reading the Bible. Sin isn’t a list of specific actions, but rather the mindset that we as humans know better than God and His Word, which influences what we do. Sin separates us from God and the Presence of His Spirit. To remedy this, God Himself came in the form of a man named Jesus Christ to die for the sins of humanity, and this sacrifice broke that barrier, purchasing our accessibility to God, and is why there is power in the Name of Jesus. This is also why we’re not meant to simply believe in God but experience His Presence for ourselves through the Holy Spirit, and He lives in anyone who simply chooses to believe Jesus Christ did this. We can see for ourselves how the Holy Spirit helps us grow closer to Him in our lives and in understanding His Word. So again, just ask the Lord to reveal Himself to you. Tampered or edited? Every book has been edited. Even the Quran. Nothing that has been vast produced hasn’t. The oldest bible is in Ethiopia you can also buy an original.

Your discernment given by God, the Holy Spirit will guide you in that matter. I believe most of the New Testament (not all) is still in tact and that’s where the core of Jesus message is. The Old Testament you must be more cautious on the other hand. A lot of wisdom and truth still there but there’s some parts that don’t sit right in my heart.

Phil... ... I loved this vlog... I'm late .... but here... ... I agree there is nothing really in this world is going to fulfill us the way God will everytime I go to church and this is no lie the moment I get in there and I sit down and the pastor's start talkin I promise I just start crying and crying and it's not that I'm sad I just feel God's present all over me and I'm not sad I'm happy I'm joyful I'm grateful to be able to feel him... ... .. if you ask me is just an amazing feeling all over.. a lot of people always ask for someone to be real someone to just make them happy someone to just bring joy to them and to be honest is hard to find that nowadays from anybody it's very rare today... I always got a lot of things going on in my life you know we all do I'm sure but I always make it a priority to speak to God to spend time with him.....Thank u Phil blessing to everyone that walks with God r trying to seek him
