An esoteric band I found at 18 years old in 1988 and one of the few from that era that I still turn to regularly for a sense of ataraxy. Timeless, transcendent.

This is slightly misleading. The visuals are from the ULU gig in Feb 1987, but the soundtrack is the studio version included on the album "Poem Of The River". This was a special promo recorded at the time. The whole live gig can be found on the Cherry Red DVD "A Declaration". This was the first Felt gig I ever attended. I saw eleven more - the last one I attended was their last one ever at Burberries in Birmingham in December 1989. They were an impeccable live band. I more or less knew it then. I know it for certain now.

I think I'll slot this right behind Fortune as the most spectacular and kaleidoscopic Felt tune. Too bad it isn't about 5-8 minutes long. Can someone get to work on creating an extended version please? Just repeat the opening guitar part for several minutes with lots of reverb, like the intro of I Wanna Be Adored, and do the same at the end, but with Lawrence sighing the titular phrase repeatedly. Boom, instant celestial masterpiece. P.S. Shame on me and anyone else who ignored Felt post-Deebank. This guitar playing is sublime in a Johnny Marr / George Benson vein.
