60s 70s 80s era in which the stories are set was a different era altogether. The world has changed so much with the advent of Internet and Cellphone that it is almost impossible to create the magic of that era without the supporting props. People who grew up in that era reading the Feluda books will find it hard to relate to these modern day cinematic versions set in current times while storyline and characters remain from that era. Just imagine kothaye maajh raat e landline e ekta achomka call er rohoshyo aar kothaye aajker mobile phone er jug. Boro budget kore period drama korle bodhoy aaro better jomto byaparta. Tobuo kudos to hoichoi and Srijit Mukherjee for bringing these all time favorite stories to life on OTT.

@@atish4185 British iTV series Sherlock is different. It's a modern day take with modern day stories while the contour of stories somewhat drew from original Holmes stories. And that is precisely my point why they had to do Sherlock in that way. Just for example original Hounds of the Baskervilles ba Sign of Four ba A study in Scarlet etc eithout the period is unthinkable. Also if you remember they released a special episode set in the original period "The abominable bride" which shows how that could also be done. Ekhane to aar ta hocchena. Shob e budget er byapar bujhi but boro boro producer ra achen ektu haath khullei period drama kora jaabe. Kareena Kapoor er poster, modern day gaari daariye ache, kha kha korche New Market (Corona r jonnyo naaki emniteo ekhon mall e beshi crowd thaake New Market aar shei New Market nei) sadly the magic is missing. Sandipbabu banachhen Hatyapuri dekha jaak sheta ki hoy.

Tota r daara I don’t think that’ll be possible!! Perhaps young Sabyasachi could come a little close to Joy Baba Felunath’s Soumitra, but unfortunately wouldn’t be able to name even one present day actor to fit this iconic character!! Taa she period drama ii hok kimba perhaps an “intelligent” modern day adaptation!! But alas! Don’t really find this series to be too qualitative in any way!! Still, fingers crossed!! 🤞

I don't expect to see that in this movie that's why I didn't even bring up the actors in Srijit Mukherjee's Feluda in my comment. By the way, I was referring to some of the original Sherlock stories. A very promising announcement Many things must be noted Feluda is more fluid here than before.... He smiles a lot.. That's a great development by Tota.... Kalpan has more presence and has adopted to the character much better... Anirban is consistent as jatuyu as usual. The most notable thing here are the Bgm and Colour grading... Both looks and feels so good.... The music is very nostalgic of course The drawing room of Feluda is perfect💯..... A great homage to the characters and Manik Ray🕯🕯🕯🕯

Exactly! In the addatimes production, Tota portrayed it in a all-time-serious-and-stiff way, which was a bit odd sometimes. He did smile but then there was stiffness in his attire, even when he smiled. But I like his fluidity here! He smiles a lot. Maybe director Srijit Mukherji has changed things a little and it's evidently better!
