Fem van Empel crowned herself World Champion in simply dominant fashion in Hoogerheide. It crowns of a season that saw her grow out from a talent to the best crosser in the world. Signing with Jumbo-Visma the chances of van Empel showing up on the road are rather high. Some people are quietly tipping her to show big things, not necessarily this season but in the near future for sure.
