female artist spotlight thread movie soundtracks on CD

Hello greeting
In this episode I am responding to a thread started by On My Turntable
Here's the criteria:
1. Show a minimum of five (up to 10 max) of female artists in your collection.
2. One of the artists you talk about is someone you have seen live. So, share that story.
3. Can be a solo artist, all female band, female led band, or girl group
4. Have fun putting your video together!

Steve, great overview! I agree: Ethiopia is underrated. Other than Patti Smith and Judee Sill, these are all new to me. Love that you (and Mr. Gopher!) showed multiple genres, and this thread has made me aware of so much that is out there to listen to. I knew you were gonna pull that Charred Blossoms when you mentioned local experimental! I have 2 copies of that, one I found in the 90's in LA. I was at that Subotnick show too, her set was deafening. I also saw her do a thing a few years ago with an old synth that belonged to her dad. Nice to see that album get a shout out.

@@stereo999 Forgot about that box set, should see if she still has any of those. I found a few minutes of her set at Piqued on my channel. She dragged out this old PAiA that belonged to her dad.
