Well she only had 34 seconds to draw her taser once he told her to go non-lethal. I mean c-mon man, she needed time to process that complicated instruction. Or should she have had it drawn and ready within 3 seconds?
@Crazzzymonkey1
@Crazzzymonkey1 5 ай бұрын
@Steve_-ob2ne your the reason she didn't act. Stupidity. He said go non-lethal. She just strutted her way right in danger. She had a knife. Still no taser atleast in hands. Cuff her. She did nothing. 34 seconds vs the seconds he had to react to still be alive. 34 seconds and a pre warning before they approached the suspect was plenty of time and this wasn't near her first day. Look at the records. You don't just walk damn near up to a victim with a knife and not back the person she is walking up to with intent to kill. The man tried telling her to drop the knife. When you hear tazer is when your supposed to send it. When he said non lethal is when it should have been in her hands. This is just the way commands work being an officer and you have been trained on it. She just stood there for 34 seconds. Here ted the best he could within that time. 34 seconds with warning is plenty of time especially after the call knowing she is a threat. Common sense goes a long way. I had less than a second to react to a punch and throw one back withing that second and a half. She had plenty of time and range. If he would have died; just imagine. "I only had over half a minute to respond after being told go non lethal."
@Crazzzymonkey1
@Crazzzymonkey1 5 ай бұрын
@@Steve_-ob2neshe had alot more than 3 seconds to have it drawn. If you knew what "go non lethal" meant. She should have had it drawn atleast 3 seconds after but never did she touch it and let that lady walk and charge him without doing a single thing but stand there and put herself and her partner in danger. When clearly seeing the lady with a knife and her buddy saying to go non lethal before she ever left the door frame is obsurd. "3 seconds to react"? When he said go non lethal, her taters should have been out of the holster. I'm not a cop and I know that lmaoo

I was in the Marine Corps for 20 years as an officer. The deepest darkest sin you can commit in a kinetic situation is failure to act. Talking about tiny knives...in my much younger days, I was a bouncer at a somewhat rough bar in downtown Greensboro (NC). On one of my rounds, I had one dude who was around 5'5" and 120lbs who got angry when I told him he couldn't smoke week on our patio, so he whipped out his knife. The knife in question was a tiny little thing...you know the ones that has the nail file, tweezers, and toothpick? That. When he pulled it out, I laughed and told him to put that little $h1t away before he got hurt. Well...little folks can sometimes be quick and he got me. The slice started just above my right nipple and continued down to mid abs. Long story short, both of us needed to go to the hospital that day. Me to get 58 stitches, him to have his arm set in 2 places. Ever since then, the scar on my chest reminds me to take *all* knives seriously.

I grew up wanting to be a cop, among many other things. Due to the fact you get to interact with the public, drive cool cars, help solve issues, and protect others. But I knew as a kid I could never be one. Watching COPS as a little kid (about 10) I thought it was incredible what they do, sometimes it’ll end up as a heated argument, other times it’s chasing a person with a gun and putting your life in danger. I realized then, that I am way too passive and quiet to be a cop. I’m not a big guy (5ft 9) and have anxiety. I just couldn’t be a cop. This woman, somehow didn’t realize that. I’m sure she saw the same things growing up and wanted to be able to solve issues and protect people. But didn’t realize she’s too hesitant and passive. And now someone is dead because of her. It’s absolutely horrible! Not everyone can have certain jobs. I realized that long ago for myself. Probably if I spent countless hours I could’ve become a cop, or joined the military. But the risks I would put on others unless I devoted 100% of my time would far outweigh the benefits of me. Don’t get jobs you can’t complete
@somethingjustgonewrongyeah9079
@somethingjustgonewrongyeah9079 29 күн бұрын
In my opinion, that woman had absolutely no desire to "solve issues and protect people". She didn't even seem like she heard the male officer at all throughout this entire incident. This seems like a clear example of someone who's simply doing the job for the money. If she didn't get fired as soon as she stepped into the office for debrief, I question the chief's judgement. Obviously, this is just a guess, but she seems to be on something, too. Weed, no sleep, something. She's clearly not all there. I understand your point, though. People should assess their strengths and weaknesses before deciding on a potential career. It's just this woman fucked up SO bad it's hard for me to believe she's ever had a passion for anything in her life, let alone helping people. I appreciate you being honest with yourself and understanding your limitations so that there's not a chance you may cause someone to get hurt when they didn't need to. Many people can't do that. Retired Cop of over 25 years and a Field Training Officer: In training I’d call that a “failure to engage,” and should’ve been reported during training. If they failed to resolve the issue during training I would’ve reported it to the training supervisor. If it was their last phase I would’ve recommended termination. Regardless of male or female because I’ve seen both. Current affairs have made law enforcement officers hesitant. Hesitation is caused by not understanding the law and, or, procedures. Failure to act is the same as overreacting.

I mean, I'm not saying you weren't able to stress the fuck out of people, but in training you're still at least aware that your life won't be put in danger. I'm not saying this dipshit shouldn't be fired and dragged through hell because now the family has a VERY legitimate case against the police department, but I'd at least like to see how long she'd been on the streets, if this was her first violent call, etc. Could have just slipped through the cracks and finally got put in a situation where there was no safety net.

Sometimes things like this occur because it’s just simply better off this way. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ I’ll give you this much, four of our local police departments in our county have all collectively shot and killed five people in the last five years. Going through these police departments calls for service for those five people that they generated throughout just a few short years the total call volume at the hands of them were about 115 calls for service. There will never be a call for service ever again in reference these five people that these police departments shot and killed. do you think these calls that were generated by these people who are now dead at the hands of police were good people?? I suspect she went through the requisite training. And it may have been her very first engagement of that type. You never know how you will react to that kind of thing until you are in it. The Biology of your very own body and brain chemistry could betray you. Part of that training should include stress tests. The lawsuit should jog that improvement into action if nothing else would. She may havebalso been the only officer available. And i’m fairly certain that her confident approach meant expectation of her opportunity to talk her down as a woman. Maybe this was the first time that didnt work. I dont know. All i know is that the silence and shock prior to radio in meant to me that the cop literally couldnt believe what happened. My heart breaks for that officer. You can feel the frustration and pain in his voice. He had zero interest in shooting. Forced to because he got absolutely no support from his partner. You can see why there's a lawsuit (other than there is always a lawsuit). Had the female office done as trained, done as instructed, the poor lady might still be alive.

I doubt he will face real issues here, cops are unionized and bodycam clearly shows dude had a sound plan and did what was necessary after his partner either panicked or was a retard, that being said female cop will likely get the boot as there is only so much union could do in face of such evidence even if they decided to stick out for her while city will likely drop a huge settlement with victim's son since technically they did fail by letting Casey Price do actual police work. The real bitch for him will be memory of having to kill somebody and likely trust issues with future partners until they actually prove themselves in his eyes.

There is absolutely no way she can continue on the job… NO officer will ever work with her (not if they’re smart anyway). If she doesn’t have the good sense to resign… one hundred percent, she should be canned (and hopefully prevented from joining any other force/department). There is too much on the line in that job to allow someone that useless to be involved.

She's a whole other level of mentally incompetent that sex might actually be too much. It would probably feel like you're taking advantage of a vegetable with her so the one thing she might be decent at is also morally in the grey area.

LOL. She was under no obligation to use non lethal. She was perfectly justified in shooting. She knew she drew her pistol because she fired 5 quick shots. If she thought she grabbed her Taser, she would have pulled the trigger ONCE. I'll bet if you watched the video with no sound, you'd call it clean. She was under no obligation to everyone who thinks she accidentally grabbed her pistol instead of her Taser, obviously doesn't know how a Taser works. She would have pulled the trigger ONCE. You don't pull a Taser trigger multiple times. (Some traders allow 2 shots, but not all of them.) If she thought it was her Taser it would have been ONE shot, the way you use a Taser.
