Asians are really obsessed with face size. To the point that what is probably a completely normal sized/small face to us is considered ‘too big’ to them. It doesn’t help that western culture doesn’t think much about face size so most people here don’t even notice it. Almost many calls out if they ask "If you can put up your standard, which kpop idol would you want to be the ideal girl." most of them answered irene. She has the unique figure for them. If you meet miss korean she actually doesn't look good much for them since as well many koreans don't like super thin but will prefer a hour glass figure which is part of the body standard. Which irene easily gets meanwhile jisoo can't since both have different diets, next disadvantage for them when i asked my korean friends they said they don't like jisoo's high cheekbones. It doesn't fit her for them, they prefer a thin cheeks which jisoo has but her high cheekbones ruined it and yeah they added she doesn't have an hourglass beauty (Im not hating on jisoo or would pick irene over jisoo im just pointing out the korean standards and the reasoning why Irene actually deserves to break the world with Jisoo)

I don't have anything against the idols mentioned in this video (cause they really are beautiful), but some of the fans in the comments using it as a flex makes me uncomfortable. Most kpop idols are born tan or just get tan from being outside too much or in a hot climate/country (for ex: lisa, bambam, tzuyu, taehyung, Jennie, etc). Many bleach their skin, use skin whitening products, or wear lighter makeup. Being born naturally pale is seen as beautiful in Asian countries.

When you see them in real life or outside of korea, you'd notice how tan they actually are and it's still pretty. There is nothing wrong with that. Apparently the KPOP industry longs for the exact opposite, as Lena mentioned above. It is so obvious they are obsessed with Caucasian features. Just take a look at Lucas from WayV/SuperM, he looks half white, halt Thai. He is absolutely gorgeous and I indeed know a guy that looks similar to him

For me, Twice Nayeon is the prettiest female kpop idol. She has a really unique aura, especially when she has no makeup. Her nose is normal, she has chubby cheeks, no defined jaw line, wide forehead, and big ears, but she can pull off any hair styles and hair colors. She is not that sexy, but she can pull off any outfits. And she is the best center. I think that's the definition of beauty, making your imperfections look perfect.
