Not really. If one understands psychology one can see how easy it is for an individual to be radicalised. In this case, the woman is already influenced by group think. And religious group think already comes with its own component of dehumanization. In simple terms, group think is the process of believing that you are part of the chosen ones.. The orthodox jewish believe that Jews are Gods chosen people. Muslims believe God has promised tbem heaven on account of they being believers alone while the kaffirs will burn in hell, regardless of how good of a person the kaffir is. Both are viewpoints and ideas that can be classified as group think. Dehumanizing involves consistently addressing and equating this group of people as animals or filthy etc etc. Racist terms and slurs are a good example. An individual who has been subjected to group think and dehumanisation will cease to see people who are not like them as sub humans if not outright vermins or cockroaches.

It is religion of peace, but in every religion/believe there's always extremist that using religion as a reason to justify their action. There's a saying in Indonesia, 'nila setitik rusak susu sebelanga', which translated roughly to 'a drop of poison spoiled the whole pail of milk'. I live here in the philippines i remember the chuch bombing of 2019 that killed my former elementary classmates some of my mom's former elementary teacher and wound our school's prefect of discipline. One of my classmates back then almost got dragged aswell but luckily left the church a few minutes before it blown up. Then in 2020 another bombing happens which is in a grocery store which is just infront of the church that killed my former elementary classmate's parents. After that a few months later the perpetrator was caught whom was indonesian and planning another bombing attack in our town. After that there is now a mass surrender of abu sayyaf here 3 days ago i saw more than 100 surrendered to the military. Well these Terrorist are loser they've been terrorizing our town for decades yet they are just dying and accomplishing for nothing which that is great. Then some realize that they are just being used as weapon of death

Taqiyya literally means prudence or fear. In islam (sunni) taqiyya is the act of pretending to accept conversion or belief that forced upon a muslim that will risks their life if they didn't accepted it. This were only allowed in extreme situations such as the matters of life and death. In general there's no permission to do so, as it is considered as hypocrisy and that is a huge sin. The practice was widely known in the time of The Reconquista, when the umayyad towns was captured under the chatolic armies many Muslims, jews and Christians orthodox were forced to convert to chatolic. Many muslims practiced this as they pretending to be Christian in the day and muslim in the night. Means that their appearance and practice is Christian yet their hearts belong to Islam. This however was exposed to the castillians, and they tricked the taqiyyas, said that whoever wish to seek refuge to the south (Morocco) there'll be boats heading to the south. At the time many people gathered at the port, but there's no boats and was surrounded by the army and was massacred. Taqiyya is no longer practice in the present time as there's no coercion in coverting to other religion. Yet taqiyya are mainly practice by the shia and the idea of taqiyya in shia is quite flexible. Yet shia is not commonly practice in the southeast asian reigon. Thus, your argument "lying is an Art" is completely false. In islam, lying is lying, and lying is a falsehood. There's only 3 situation lying is permissible in islam. First: to reconcile between people Second: spouse lying to make them happy. (not to cheat or covering bad things/acts/intentions) just a light lies to strengthen their relationship. Third: lies in the time of war (to the enemies).

Please don't drag us (Philippines) into our big sister Indonesia's problem.. We don't even speak Bahasa Melayu/Indonesia day to day. In the Muslim parts of our country people speak Tagalog, Basa Magindanaw, Meranaw, Bahasa Sug, Bajau, Bisaya, Chavacano (Spanish creole), and of course English (that's where we differ, people understand English here). We are not exposed to the same kind of exploitative salafist material and mentality because we are open to the rest of the world's ideas (both Muslim world, Eastern world, and Western world). The very few who did, like the Abu Sayyaf and Maute group, were destroyed in both Marawi and Basilan, where they made their last stands. With the Maute fighters, most of them were Indonesian jihadist and not our local Maranao or Iranon (Philippine Bangsamoro ethnic group) guys. Muslim Pinays are much more into K-pop, local telenovelas, Tik tok, K-drama, Thai drama, C-drama, US and Western shows, Latino telenovelas, Anime, J-Pop, Netflix/iflix, and global pop way more than Islamist extremist thinking, arabization and isolation. Even our old mosques were built like pagodas. Here, LGBTQ people are not bullied or persecuted, and aren't tortured in even the part of our country that follows Shariah. People don't disown their daughters and sons for marrying people who belong to other religions. People don't stone others to death, or behead them for trivial laws based less on the concept of God than the concept of political control.. Most Muslim Pinoys make Islam fit into their lives, and worship and fulfil the tenets of their faith without hurting or shaming others, which is exactly the same way Christians do.. Some are irreligious, so what? At least we all have the capacity to realize that humankind is never perfect, and so it makes no sense to hate others for things beyond their control. That's probably why racism, homophobia and sectarianism (apart from of course our dramatic politics) is much less here than virtually any other of our neighboring countries in Asia. I feel that in our neighbor and closest sibling's country of Indonesia, it's a different world though. Extremists have been growing in that country for about a decade and suppressing the rights of those who are truly more peaceful and tolerant.. Please ordinary tolerant and quiet Indonesians, don't be afraid of the ulama and extremists. Speak your mind and demand you are given respect, before they remove that simple right to exist from you.

Smart Muslim knows the difference between "being attacked" and not. These terrorists took it by the word not meaning, thus "defending" themselves, without being actually attacked, i.e. waging war, which also contradictory to other principle written on their book: "Be the good ones and protect the world". The good ones, never attack first, but seek non-violence solutions whenever possible. Singapore has a 200mil muslim neighbours. Im an indonesian and most people here barely understood the quran since they always read it ina rabic, the faith is mixed with local customs and superstition.
