I agree Celine has the longest vocal prime. I can say her voice kinda back in perfect condition in 2013 when she did the "loved me back to life" album. That year was good to her. When she sang in the bathroom, God!!! She just playing around with her new song and even sang my heart will go on in original key acapella! I wish she make a great comeback with her new album next year 😌

I disagree on some of the 'Prime' vid. I think JTV is right about Aretha Franklin. She could still saaang in that strong voice of hers up until she got too sick where her vocals got weaker, and Celine Dion was still had that loud great voice long after the mid '00's.

Most of these talented ladies truly delivered during their primes but no one could take on *Whitney "The Voice" Houston* 🔊🌌 *Mariah "Songbird Supreme" Carey* 🐦🌌 and *Celine "Queen of the Power Ballads" Dion* 🚢🌌 Individually, they were snatching the edges & scalps off numerous vocalists worldwide in their prime (actually even post prime), however together, they were utterly *unstoppable* ✨👑✨ #ThePowerOfThree *P.S.* I always thought that Celine's​ vocal prime extended to the 80's as well but other than that another impressive & well researched Archiduc video 😊 I agree, Jessie J was completely at her best during that competition, I hope it continues 💞

Power wise, Celine's true prime was the mid 90's. However, after the year 2000, like the video stated, Celine became way more "savage" with her vocals, despite losing a bit of power. Her vocals from the "Taking Chances" tour for example, were sickening! She was Jessie J before Jessie J became a thing lol.

Counting all the years Celine has in the biz, makes it about 40+ yrs of experience there. The song « je sais pas » from her taking chances world tour and the high notes in « it’s a mans world » if they’re not a testimony of her still reigning and in her prime, I’m wondering what it is then! Celine’s prime lasted beyond.... she’s currently in her mid age prime, kinda normal we’re to hear rasp.... but don’t we l😍v it in « tous les blues sont écrit pour toi », she not only command her orchestra but also the crowd, what a Queen!

Whitney's 1987-1994 period was her best, especially 92-93. Mariah' 1992-1996 was undoubtedly her best, especially 93-95. Celine 1992-2007, was pretty consistently brilliant, not saying after that was any bad especially in comparison to others. But 92-99 was just perfection.

Jamie Stewart Yeah, just saw some video of a recent Vegas performance and was shocked how much her voice degraded since the 90s. She was lip syncing for some parts too. The current Celine Dion is a shadow of the 90s Celine Dion. People still buy tickets for her Vegas show think they would hear the 90s Celine, but alas.

Kelly Clarkson's prime wasn't from 2005 to 2011. In 2005, it was her worst year vocally because her label treated her so badly and she couldn't rest. I'd say her prime was 2011-2014, right before her first baby. Watch her Christmas special and you will understand what I mean.

Aretha’s voice changed a lot once the 80’s hit. I remember hearing her back in the 80’s I didn’t realize it was her since her voice was so husky. I think she got a lot of her voice back in 1994 when she quit smoking.

no, actually a singer's prime is at the ages of 35 to 45..I say this because I actually majored in music in college and was told by my vocal teachers over and over again that my best singing days were far ahead of me...Whitney never had a prime because of the obvious reason...all the over-singing actually destroys the voice over time...that's why opera singers like L. Price and Placid just excelled as they got older because they studied...the most a singer should sing each day is only 1 hour or a max of 90 minutes only...grow and rest like any major muscle...

This may or may not be controversial... but I honestly think Mariah’s vocal prime ended in 2012 or 2013. She just has some lackluster performances here and there due to lack of rest and over singing. But her range and agility didn’t necessarily leave until 2013, although the power in her voice is coming back.
