It's so silly when people comment negatively or dislike my videos. I have to pity them more than anything because they clearly do not have enough empathy for their fellow human being to understand what a transformation to true happiness looks like. I have never loved myself more than I do when I look in the mirror everyday. Individuals who hate on other people can not genuinely do not love themselves. I only mourn for those people who have yet to learn the value of self love. I hope one day everyone is able to experience the joy I have found by truly being myself. Thank you all for your support! :) I read every comment and love hearing what you have to say. Much love, -Ashton

Some people are so deeply unhappy. When they see other people taking a leap to become happier, against all odds, and it pays off they get upset because it scares them. They are too deeply unhappy to self-examine why they need to hate me for doing them no harm at all. Truly happy people have no reason to tear others down. :)

the amount of times i have come and watched this video is uncountable. it makes me so happy to see the genuine smile in his face as he transitions into who he was and is meant to be. ashton being in a female body is not what was meant for him. he was not happy and for people to be saying he threw everything to waste bc he was "way prettier female" is absolutely horrible. it does not matter if he was the most beautiful female in the world. that is not what he wanted nor felt was right. he did not want to be trapped in a shell of what was holding him back from being whole he truly is. this is what HE wants. what he wants shouldn't affect you in any way. let him be happy. i am not normally the person to write a comment but going through the comments on this video made me so sick to see how people were treating you. you are so strong and an all around amazing person ashton.

This made me so happy.. I'm trans, FtM I've known for the past year, and I've recently come out to my mother(being that I still live with my parents since I'm only 16). My mother has always been accepting of me, but she doesn't seem certain that this isn't just a 'phase'. And it just makes me happy to see so many success stories about people who are on T and who are transitioning, because I know it's going to be another year or so before I can start because my parents are 100% on board. Congratulations, by the way for the amazing amount you've come. :D
@AshtonColby10 жыл бұрын
Hang in there!! Even if they don't accept you right off the bat they might come around. You would be surprised! Getting a chance to be yourself is worth the wait. It's hard when you are younger but one of these days you will be able to completely live the way you feel and it will be worth it! :D
@andieblack124010 жыл бұрын
My friends are really great with it. But it's really awkward because I'm extremely open about it. And other people don't get it because I can't bind and am rather endowed (groans), and I've been told that I'm not allowed to call myself a guy because I'm a girl. Which saddens me. Tremendously. But thank you so much for the supportive message!
@AshtonColby10 жыл бұрын
Andie Black Some people won't understand. It is not your job to make them comfortable. You have to know who you are inside and know that no one else can tell you otherwise. People in my own family told me the world would never see me as a guy, it hurt. I proved them wrong and you will too! Don't lose hope and don't compromise who you are for others. I used to think that trying to please everyone around me would make me happy but it didn't work. Know who you are and no one can take that away from you! Hang in there! It will be worth, I promise.

+charlie hernandez He is a male on the inside and now he's becoming one on the outside. Why is that so hard for you to understand can I ask?
@Cosmiclight4759 жыл бұрын
***** Actually you're wrong I'm afraid. Science and psychology says that he is a man on the inside. It's called being transgender, look it up if you're a fan of science and psychology. Who knows, it might cure your ignorance.
@AshtonColby9 жыл бұрын
+charlie hernandez I would argue that this "spontaneous loss of feelings" is most likely due to society pressuring children to conform to very strict norms of gender. I remember when I was very young feeling like a boy and when I was about 9 it would seem I "spontaneously lost these feelings". However, clearly, now looking back the feelings were always there but pushed so deep down if anyone asked me I would have said they were crazy for even asking if I felt like a different gender. People like you don't consider that people like me also, at one point, felt exactly like you do, which is that transgender people are crazy. The reality is I'm not the one trying to convince another person over the internet that they don't exist. ;) Additionally, have you ever considered that the suicide rates are so high because there are ignorant people like yourself hating on transgender people like it is their job? I can tell you that I used to think that surgery would solve all my problems because non-transgender people are so obsessed with my genitals if I just got surgery my life would be easier and they would accept me as male. The reality is that transgender people are hated on with or without surgery so I can imagine why some would kill themselves after surgery when they continue to get hate but can do nothing more to their body. Really consider what I am saying. Society's ignorance and hate is much more toxic than transgender people simply existing.

Very inspirational (and an incredibly attractive outcome tbh). I know that I'm a girl, but I also enjoy crossdressing and I feel comfortable in both genders. When you were younger were you tomboy-ish or did you try to cross dress? Anything that hinted that you were trans*?
@AshtonColby10 жыл бұрын
It's okay to feel comfortable in both genders. There is no right or wrong way to express yourself in that way. You don't really have to pick on or the other or anything like that. I think what really made me know I needed to live the rest of my like as a guy was when I couldn't picture myself growing old as an old woman. I didn't want to be a mother or wife, I wanted to be a husband and a father.

And as a privileged white gay guy too, i recognize i and others like me have a responsibility to make the country and the world to be tolerant and accepting, as the door has been opened at least to some extent ifor us in that way,. Stay safe and well, and know that many of the L's G's and B's are trying to do their part to make inclusivity for the letter " L : " and not by that signaled acronym alone.

I've always said that females can turn into amazing men. You are so cute as a guy! I know some people will argue that the genital portion of the transition is more final and convincing for guys, which I guess is true, but everything aside from that Transotions look better F to M. Really women do make better men 90% of the time then men do women. Plus women turn into really hot men a lot of the time.

+Angii Heads up to anyone out there questioning transition, the answers people are giving here are only half-right. There's a list of what will be permanent and what will change without continued testosterone therapy. Anyone who is questioning transition should find a better source for these questions.

Man, this is absolutely amazing. You look so much happier now than you did before. In my honest opinion, it looked like that your pre-transition smiles (at least from what I could tell by the pictures) look forced. It's tough being in the wrong body....it honestly is tough. You are so brave and awe inspiring. You dared to be yourself in a judgmental world, and man, you really succeeded. You have the most beautiful smile. I can tell you are a billion times happier now, and it brings a smile to my face knowing you can now live freely and happy. I feel like there is so much more I can say, but I don't want to make this comment too long, so I'll end it here by saying that I greatly applaud your courage in taking the step to becoming who you really are. The result is absolutely astounding!

i have to say that you are the one person i connect with online.its like you are the brother i wanna have.I know most of us trans folk wanna kill ourselves most of the time at the thought of who we truly are in a society full of ignorant and mean people. When i watch your videos am happy because you make me see that one day ill be able to be who i truly am. Thank you Ashton for sharing your story.I honestly wish there was an online programme i could connect with people like you.Thanks for making a difference in this world.I hope one day ill do the same for somebody

How old were you when you started transitioning?

It's always the expressions changing from not happy to smiling that show me how good transition is for people like us. Also a bit of confirmation when others say you look better as the gender you identify with than the one you were born into.

You are BEEEEEEEEEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!! When you get comments from ignorant dummies, remember something Neil Patrick Harris said... "So you have something to say about my lifestyle? Ok, which one of my bills are you paying this month??" Lol I love him.

This is so inspirational! Thank you!!! I'm recently coming out as a GQ, Female to Nom-binary person. The Journey has just began for me. So great to see what's possible!
@kitterzy9 жыл бұрын
I'm curious. Is that the same as being gender fluid?
@AshtonColby9 жыл бұрын
+Nicole G. It depends on how the individual identifies.
@Anorak30109 жыл бұрын
+Ashton Colby +Nicole G. No. Ashton is right. I defined Non-binary for me as more androgynous strongly leaning toward masculine. (Trans masculine). That waa static for me not fluid. I didn't deviate from wanting to *Not* be female. However after more soul searching I realize I am an FTM and will be transitioning as such. I just believe in defining masculinity on my own terms to be my own man. Thanks for asking.

Fair play to you for having the guts to do it! There are probably so many people male/female struggling! So long as you're happy, stick a middle finger up to the haters!
