"Elzakzaky is terribly sick, his left eye is dead, unless he is allowed to seek medical treatment abroad, he may die" These were words of Femi Falana SAN that eventually led to FG agreeing to take Elzakzaky to India for treatment as specifically requested by Falana and directed by court. Elzakzaky who was stretched to India stood up immediately he got to the hospital, sought a refugee visa and started making inflammatory statements on the FGN, his two eyes were seen boldly alive and when he discovered that India won't give in to his silly tricks, he quickly requested that he prefers to be in Nigeria under the DSS than Indian hospital...... Since he returned from India, he has been quiet...... Falana obviously fooled the nation about the health of the leader of IMN a terrorist organization that has been proscribed in Nigeria. Elzakzaky has been detained after bail was granted, and Falana, as a human rights lawyer, did what he was supposed to do, which is act in the interest of those who are technically being detained illegally. Period. It is important to remember that anyone can be held in the same manner as Elzakzaky, Sowore, Jalingo, and others, at anytime, based on the way the Nigerian system is currently operating. And I would add that if these were Black people being held unjustly in the U.S., because of the government not upholding the rule of law, people would have taken to the streets in massive protests across the country.
