First, I thank the late Fela as I write from the United State of America. My people are brilliant but only use their brilliance to make speeches; speeches that don't have a positive impact on the masses. It's time for the brilliant minds to stand up and act like late Fela and his family. Thank you!

You just made a beautiful speech too. Speeches is a form of participating, it builds consciousness and inspire those who want to actively participate by running for offices.
@albertmarki.8743
@albertmarki.8743 2 жыл бұрын
@@daray_TV Bassey said "they only use their brilliance to make speeches". He did not mean that it is wrong, but he meant that it is only half of the sum. Without the other half---action---talking is as good as entertainment. Yes, they enlighten people with their brilliant speeches, but what if those enlightened continue to make speeches and no one acts? Bottom line....while it is good to talk, it is better to act. Talk to inform. The informed then should come together to talk in "planning" terms. Then the plans drawn should be tested; if it "holds water enough", then it should be implemented. I think both Bassey and yourself are correct. Just find a way to merge your thoughts together and great things will happen. For example, if you want to build a nation, you don't "speak it" to execution. You "do it" to execution, but the talk is just the guide. Without the talk, you cannot do; but without doing, the talk is useless.

I am also writing from Diaspora. Hope is a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen. Living in a hopeless society, besides sacrificing your life like Fela did the only thing you can do is talk. However the seeds of these speeches will harvest in the minds of the young who’ll take that deadly sacrifice. What are we too doing too? Lamenting from our comfort. It takes Chutzpah to make that $hit happen. Who has it? Who’s willing to die? Who loves his/her country more than self? My people self dey fear too much We fear for the thing we no see We fear for the air around us We fear to fight for freedom We fear to fight for liberty We fear to fight for justice We fear to fight for happiness We always get reason to fear We no want die We no want wound We no want quench We no want go I get one child Mama dey for house Papa dey for house - RIP Fela.

In other for the vehicle of our nation to move beyond the current state or its initial state, activist or social crusaders, strong civil societies needs to study the model or method used by the founding fathers of African independence from their colonizers. Based on research, they used the intellectual method free of noisy speeches, they had a joint debate amongst themselves before matters were presented to African colonizers. The intellectual method used was a mixture of western education with African ideology or philosophies with a well-articulated presentation free of greed but with the intention or goal to see Africans being a liberated continent. Recall what Kwame Nkrumah said about the freedom of Africa I quote: For Africa to be a free continent, the remaining nation of Africa must be given their independence. When Ghana got its independence, Nkuruma gave that speech, him and his contemporaries backed it up with intellectual action and unity. The following year other African countries started to get their independence. Today, what model do we have that can free each African nation from economic, political, and socio stagnation? What model do we have to use in other to remove corrupt leaders from the power that won't put the life and future of the citizens in jeopardy? Yes, corruption has eaten so deep into the fabric. How then can we uproot that bug from the fabric of Africa? I think we the African people need to use one method, Martin Luther King Jr used - Boycotting! How can the method of boycotting work? I would want brilliant Africans to think deep and find areas such can be applied. I know the majority would say during the election. What other areas can boycotting be applied I challenge all my fellow African Negros to think and let's profer practical application. The Fela's alone can't do it. One Igbowo can't do it. On Nnamdi Kanu can't do it. One Shower can't do it. Another method is what I called the Jerry Rowlings approach to curb and defeat or mitigate corruption in Africa. Where was that method used? If we refuse to fix our continent now, nations such as China, Brazil that were poor like Africa 20 years ago who are now rubbing shoulders with the United States, United Kingdom, Russia, Japan will come and colonize Africa. We can see that it's happening already as China has occupied many Africa nations. Arise Africans, Arise My brilliant Negros, Arise the rich continent, Arise, my people, Arise children of mother Africa. For mother Africa has been injured beyond repair not only by her colonizers but also by the corrupt children of mother Africa. The tears of mother Africa and the tears of innocent Africans are what turned into the oceans and rivers you see around you. Please let us save mother Africa! Respectfully submit mother Africa request on the beautiful heart of all innocent and genuine Africans. JB Signature

I had to stop eating to type this; I live in Atlanta, I’ve lived in senegal Ghana Paris before here. I’m a hustler who made it out of the streets of bida road onitsha and I’m proud of where I am today. There’s nothing like Nigeria there’s nothing like unity and there will nothing like progress. The madness called insecurity in the south is traceable, we all know who they’re and what they’re. Divide the country into parts and there will be borders everywhere, and I can vividly assure you that your streets in osun state ogun state Anambra state and Imo state will become quiet, calm and conducive for human interactions. Your elected officials will start behaving normal, because there won’t be no Abuja to run to, they will be answerable to the state indigents/residents by force. Senegal is 12 million in population, they’re poorer than Anambra state, but they live faaaaaaaar better than any of y’all in the entire Nigeria. You have to understand, nobody is Nigerian, you go to passport office on Roswell road Atlanta, the person you meet will determine if you will get service or not, I’m Ekene and if I meet Haruna, my life is over, but if I meet an emeka, I’m good. We are igbos Hausas yorubas etc before anything else, after that we are Christians Muslims and ATR, we are never ever nigerians,

You forget that currently, the governors in the south east get allocations that are not utilized in the development of the region. What makes you think this will change if the south east becomes a country? The south east as a whole is smaller than Niger state alone. The south east gets more than 7 times the allocation of Nigeria state. What does the south east do with their current allocations? Currently, the south east has the capacity to become an industrial hub but the governors, LG chairmen and so on are busy mismanaging their resources. The south east will be the biggest loser if Nigeria breaks up.

Despite the fact that Fela fought for justice for everyone in Nigeria, the illegal detention, the police and security forces brutality and the extrajudicial killing of the Igbos or Biafrans by the Nigerian security forces are still going on. Since Buhari came to power in 2015, about 10 thousand Igbos and Biafrans have been murdered through extrajudicial Killings. So the people in the government in Nigeria are committing unpardonable crime against humanity. We were all lumped together by the amalgamation, yes. So was India, Israel and South Korea. Yet these countries are doing very well. The amalgamation of Nigeria is not the problems. We need to try a different approach. Sustainable growth and development is possible within the current framework. I can show you.

Nigeria has never been a country, it needs to disintegrate so rhat a true country with foundation based on human existence can be founded.

Disintegrate to what? And for whom? I watched Sunday Igboho and Nnamdi Kanu agitation, which I understand but what I don’t understand is the followership. If you for any reason think those guys are fighting for you, you are joking. They are fighting for their own relevance whichever way you look at it. Both of them are part of the political elites. And both have shown you they don’t believe in the rule of law themselves. Either Nigeria disintegrates or not. It’s not going to make any difference in the personal lives of the common man. You will only be swapping Buhari with nnamdi kanu . The same Shitty senators will still be your legislators.

Disintegrate for what reason, for God sake. Nigerias problem started when people like you started being born in this country. Have you seen a Disintegrated Country that Rose from it's ashes? . Based on human Existence he said, What's Stopping you, or Who is Stopping you?. That name "Angel" needs changing to the opposite. And "Betty "becomes "Petty ".

We are not all biafrans. Unfortunately, many still fail to see the external factors and influences at play here. Who benefits from a break up of Nigeria? When they stitched us together, they were hoping to gain continued access to our resources. Now they see that they can have more access by breaking us up. So they are playing both sides. openly supporting the legitimate govt, and secretly supporting the illegitimate calls for secession. We should not play into their hands. We can develop together as a country. All we need to do is try a totally different approach.
