Fence posts repair with E-Z Mender

The existing concrete around the existing posts actually cracked when I pounded the E-Z Mender in around the posts. After I removed the cracked concrete I attached two E-Z Menders per posts with 5/8 bolts above the rotted crack. I then poured concrete around both posts. The E-Z Menders served as great anchors to the existing posts.

Mine took a tumble last week during hurricane Hanna. There's no concrete holding the 4 x 4. Great timing. August, the hottest most humid month of the year. Whoopie. Grrrrr. And 1' in the ground. 60' of fence. I'm not even going to check if the other ones are in there correctly.

If you do not dig out so deep around the cement it will crack but not completely break away.

That's true. I dug around the existing concrete and poured concrete around and on top of the existing concrete around the post just to secure it better.

no,no,noooo, pull out the old concrete, place the EZ bracket, drill hole through 4x4 and tight whit bolt then pour new concrete

I did it without replacing the concrete.. worked great
