Can you tell me what specific silicone you used? (i live in Europe and probably would need to buy a different brand. I just need to know what SPECIFC silicone it is...as there many different kind of silicone in the stores. Also interesting to know if it still holds......

Tiger seal or puraflex 40 would make a better job than silicone it's used for bonding car windscreens and body skirts etc, it's like a black rubber and won't ever come off, it's only about £5/£6, used it to stick bumper extenders to my sons car, held for years and still is as far as I know.

I'm about to do the same now too, what do think ? Is yours still holding using this method?
@afds924 жыл бұрын
@@khalidaziz5991 I haven't put it yet but I'll put it soon with some sealing glue.

@@afds92 Well, I used the same method and installed it on my bike now. It has been on the bike for a week and I can tell you that it's rock solid. I used "Evo-Stick Sticks like Shit" silicon adhesive from Screwfix. I have sealed all the cavities to avoid water getting in between the fender and mudguard.

Am I alone in thinking that it is ridiculous that honda fit such a pathetic guard to the bike in the first place? Mind you, if they showed any common sense then the bike would also have been fitted with shaft drive....
@teambenjamin15 жыл бұрын
C Cooper I agree about the fender, but shaft drive robs power output, which this bike is already lacking.
@simonbravo28252 жыл бұрын
Totally agree on the fender, but the shaft drive... Not only a power drain as @ben ducharme mentioned, but it would also add cost to the motorcycle making it significantly more expensive. The NC750X is a fantastic budget oriented motorcycle.
@gerrycollins70792 жыл бұрын
Like many manufacturers, Honda cut the corners on the basic bike and expect buyers to add a load of accessories to make up. But shaft drive is another matter - extra weight plus loss of transmission efficiency. A better way to go, give that NC stands for "New Concept", would have been belt drive, which is largely maintenance free. Although there are some transmission losses in a belt compared with a chain, you can do without a centre stand because there is no need for frequent adjustment or oiling. That weight saving compensates for any lost transmission efficiency.

overkill. some tape ans screws would have done it in 30 minutes
