You aren't required to cut for any of SS's flares, but doing so will provide more room under the arches for wider wheels and tires, and/or a lower ride height.

around 22-24mm. comparing to stock rims we recommend using wider rims 20x9et25 (so on each side it's +42mm to width of track on Fusion/Mondeo)

Looks better without the fenders, to be honest. The front ones, in particular, look funky. You'd have to pay me $1500eur to put those on my car.
