Hey Jeffrey, I am a guitar player that is in my 60's and have played Bluegrass since a teen. I love rock snd blues and have decided to learn to play the electric guitar. I made the mistake of buying a Boss Katana 50 and find it a pain to just plug and play. This review has convinced me that this amp is what I need. Thanks for the detail and time to make the reviews of the LT 25! I am very curious about the guitar you are using. Could you please let me know what it is? It has Fender on the headstock but I don't recognize it. Thanks again!

Hi there! Thanks for your comment. The guitar is a Fender Pawn Shop '51 (Made in Japan); it is a limited series Fender that I bought around 12 years ago. It's really a great and versatile guitar that I still use frequently for a variety of styles of music. The coil tap on it allows you to get both Super Strat and Telecaster -type tones out of one guitar. My only gripe is that it doesn't have a tone knob and there isn't enough space in the body cavity to add one either. There is also a Squier limited series version that is very similar but I haven't tried it myself. Neither the Fender nor the Squier are made any more but they sometimes show up on the used gutiar market if you keep an eye out.

How many decibels please?
@JeffreySchmidtMusicАй бұрын
It's a 25 Watt amp. Decibels depend on the distance from the amp and the space that the amp is in and can only be measured by a decibel meter on a case by case basis. It's loud enough for small band practice and playing at home but it won't be loud enough for playing with a drummer or playing a concert.

@@JeffreySchmidtMusic then why do decibels exist?
@mine_all_the_time0793Ай бұрын
@@JeffreySchmidtMusic thanks for the reply though, reviewers should keep in mind the type of person considering this amp, most likely new to guitar, no one wants to buy 2 amps in the beginning, one for home practice and then another for everything else, newby's will want a one purchase solution. A decibel meter or even the decibel phone app just gives us a general idea of what we need. Meters are less than 20$.thanks for the reply and video

@@mine_all_the_time0793 Good comment - I'll try to keep it in mind going forward. It's just that home practice amps (which this amp is) tend to be small and cheap and portable. And you can still jam with another guitar, bass player or singer. Amps that can keep up with a real drum kit tend to be larger and heavier and more expensive. So it's a trade-off. Most beginners will be fine with a small practice amp for the first year while they figure out if they really like electric guitar or not.

@@mine_all_the_time0793 Decibels are a legal and/or health thing. Concerts have to keep the decibels below a certain number in order to not burst the ear drums of the audience. Bar concerts have the keep the decibels below a certain number or the neighbors can legally call the cops. The decibels of an amp measured inside a concert hall are much higher than the decibels of the same amp measured outside the concert hall.
