Have always wished Fender would make more hardtail models. They definitely do have a different feel and tone to them. In highschool I had a 70s hardtail with the middle tone control removed and the volume moved to that position to get it away from the pickup. Of all the guitars I've ever owned, that's the one I miss the most.

@@DavidOakesMusic If you never use the other pickups, could be worth the effort. I've known some to even go as far as to fill the empty pickup cavities with some kind of wood putty or epoxy resin in hopes of adding mass and sustain.

Day-um dude, your vids just get better and better. Please make a vid which suggests a couple of How to play Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced Guitar books. I've worked through Alfred Guitar How to play Books 1 to 3 - where do I go now? These books focus on the first five frets, a lot of cowboy stuff. But now I wanna be a rock n' roll star. I wanna be able to play the middle of the neck, the Clapton/Knopfler zone. Any ideas?

Love to know, and correct me if I’m wrong but I always thought a lot of the signature strat sound came from the tremolo block and not having the strings through the body, yet this def sounds like a strat, not Tele-like at all. I’m guessing it’s also the pickups ?
