The last 5 or so seconds seems to be the most important part. So they put it on with the front edge flush, BUT then they push the felt forward an unspecified distance.

Nice work, fellas! 😎 I'm curious though.. A couple quick questions: What did you squirt on there to soften the old adhesive, naptha or something like that? Also, what adhesive did you use to attach the new felt?

It was most likely acetone. That’s what I use when I do this. The glue they used is E6000. I typically use PVC-E white glue and that works great. This is a super easy upgrade that makes your piano look newer.
