I’ve tried to find a better instrument than my CS 60s jazz bass. So many instruments with neck through construction or 6 bolt mitre joints and various other modern ideas. The CS just beats them all. It has so much character and resonance. It appears a master built instrument really is that.

I hope they included a good stabiliser package in those aged NC lacquers or they will be in pieces in a few years.
@eveythingthatsadam2 жыл бұрын
That's the point...
@bobthebomb15962 жыл бұрын
@@eveythingthatsadam No, it isn't. NC lacquers "age" because they are unstable. Paint manufacturers add a stabiliser package to delay the onset of aging. Premature aging will destroy that package. It may result in a finish that looks sixty years old now, but in ten to twenty years time that finish will be a brown, flaking mess.

I really don't understand the love affair with "relicing", its like buying pre-ripped jeans. If I buy an instrument I want it pristine and I'll wear it in myself. Also, if most players remove the pickup and bridge covers, why are they there in the first place? Do they serve some purpose besides the obvious protection function?

Fender should find a way to build a new design high end 24 feet bass to add to it bass collection, these are very good basses but technology and design from others companies are building much better basses...I've been a Fender jazz bass player since 1975 so I believe in their product but on the market are a few basses for less than the price of these that are great basses.
