I’ve got the same one ! Got it on sale for 249$ …. Love that 7.25 radius , I have smaller hands so it was a game changer for me , I bet I play twice as much as I used to and change chords twice as fast ! Thanks for the video

Yeah I ended up keeping both of the ones that I bought. I ended up standing off the peanut butter polyurethane finish and put jumbo frets on it. It's super nice but still like to C shape necks better

Its not a Custom Shop thing bro, it's a 50s Style Neck and specs, but it's under the gloss. Not like the old days where they were on top of the finish (the water decal)

Was that advertised as blemished? The face of the fingerboard has a lot of marks. Squiers are cleaner. I'm just curious about the "whatever"
@FenderMan6 жыл бұрын
No its just the grain in the wood. The "whatever" is me not really caring. Some of the new Squier necks are better than others but in my opinion, these blow them away.

Nice video my friend. I have 99' Fender MIM standard strat and I don't like the neck. Compared to an 97' american standard from a friend, i feel that his guitar got a soft neck, better for playing and bending, some how seems to be a bit thinner than mine. Strange thing is that both guitars are suposed to be C shape. I'd like a new neck that fit those specs of this friend of mine, do you think that a soft V neck would work? Greetings from Brazil!
@FenderMan6 жыл бұрын
The soft V will fit in a MIM neck pocket. I have a few "C" shaped 60s MIM necks. They are a different feel than the 50s soft V for sure. Good Luck and thanks for watching!

@RickFoxx7774 ай бұрын
To be honest I swapped out all my C shaped necks for the classic player 50's soft v neck. It is a lot more comfortable when playing 4 hour gigs than the slimmer necks. However, I went with the 9.5 radius instead of the 7.5 as this fret board has better lead control above the 12th fret (no fret out). Honestly, I wish they would make a soft V with a compound radius (7.5 - 10) that would be perfect for chording and lead! Oh yeah, you may want to replace the nut because it is just plastic crap. Just my 2 cents worth. Peace.

I bought 3 of those (Pau Ferro Player Series) consecutively as they were all faulty. I'm talking major scratches, wood filler patches under the lacquer, cracked inlays etc. I can't believe it was coincidental. I truly think these "parts necks" are actually bstock that could not be justified going onto a guitar. they should have never left the facotry. I've returned them all and gone for a 3rd party for half the price that's absolutely amazing.

I just bought one of these with intentions to replace the 7.25 on my classic series 50s guitar. At first was going to use on a Squire body I liked a lot but did not fit without plugging and drilling new holes, no thanks. After owning the CS 50s I come to find I want a new neck and I bought new pick ups and if I want to go back to stock I can but I just love Daphne Blue. Well I initially stopped by for info on if it will fit but it appears so and if not I'll reply. Thank you for the video. BTW I really like the fretboard on yours and I think it gives it a nice touch.

Hey Fender man, I can use fender standard locking tunners(0990818100) with this neck?, they can fit well? What is the hole ratio 18:1?
@AnthonyRenzulli3 жыл бұрын
These were made for the traditional vintage tuners. Locking tuners may require the holes to be reamed out more and the back of the headstock, the pin hiles won't align up correctly.
@sc201343 жыл бұрын
If you want the standard tuners for Tele/Strat you need to drill some new holes for it to fit in. This one comes with vintage tuning machines, they have 1 screw.
