Great playing, Congrats! This EMG DG kit is looking so pleasant in this USA Fender. Focusing in the "Strat Tones", obviously it's not a natural vintage, but somente could achieve from clean to modern metal with this pickup, at first look. Greetings from Brazil and see you!

Im little suprized because there are no classic TONE pot in that set, you can just cut some frequencies.And they made my guitar sounds snappy as hell.

Can you remove the pickups from the pre-wired pickguard and put them into a guitar that does not have a pickguard?

Technically you would be able to use the pickups but you'd really struggle to keep the wiring runs to the selector switch and also, the 9v battery needs somewhere to go - on these the battery is meant to live in the cavity where the pots are. I think you'd have a lot of trouble to be honest.

@@rabbamonkey I contacted EMG, and they told me all I need to do is just purchase their 'Solderless Conversion Kit' This solderless conversion kit is designed for active EMG Pickups and includes everything needed for installation in a 3 pickup configuration. The conversion kit includes a 5 Position Blade Switch, 1 volume and 2 tone controls as well as the wiring needed for various control configurations.

I have one white Am Pro II mapple, and this friday i will received Emg dg20 all black for it! Dont like the actual hum noise, and for the money of a good noise supressor and to have the Pulse tone ->DG20 ! Still like it?
