I've had mine for about 3 months (this was one of the reviews that helped me decide, thank you) and it has such a great sound. Between the Tube channel and the presets their are so many fantastic options, I never run out of inspiration for playing. I haven't tried the Fuse software yet, as I'm very happy with the amp with just the on board features. I stay mainly on the tube side and it really takes pedals well. You can dial in a great tone and nice cleans. The 16 separate voicings go from Fender classics to British, Metal and Sonic. I usually play with the volume fairly low and the because I have it off the floor the entire room fills with sound. 15 watts is perfect for my needs. I also went with the Burgandy /Wheat grill option that has the Celestion Greenback speaker and I can highly recommend those. For 100 bucks more I could have gone with the Blues Junior, but I would have given up the modeling and the Fuse options.

I have this amp and I love how good it sounds. And is so pratical to have all these into one box. The lack of the Mid button is definitely a BIG down. Since my amps USB connection broke down and now what I got set now is permanent.
@stagedright52967 жыл бұрын
Luiz, I agree with you on the mid knob. Really wish they could have added that and I don't understand why Fender left it out. Thats a bummer that your USB connection broke. Have you contacted Fender about replacing it? Could be and most likely is a broken solder joint or wiring short. Look up on forums to see if anyone else has had this issue and if anyone has come up with a workaround or repair solution!
@luizaro7 жыл бұрын
Tha lack of the Mid button could be something to do with a Fender's traditional eq. I bet is a simple thing to fix, I just didn't because in my city there is no Fender service =/

@@lucaszembrzuski So what you're saying is the mids are in the amp but have to be programmed "On" with the tap tempo button? No computer/usb hook-up needed?
@lucaszembrzuski6 жыл бұрын
@@gutbucket260 if you change mids with the usb with the FUSE software, and you want to set it back to the default mid knob setting on the fly, without a computer, you can reset the whole digital control part of the amp to default settings. It will put the mids to the default setting which in my amp was max mids. Here's the screenshot imgur.com/a/qojyovt
@lucaszembrzuski6 жыл бұрын
@@luizaro the default setting is mids on max, and really its the best setting, it lacks livelyness when lowered. So if you want more mids just reset the amp to the default factory settings by holding tap tempo button for 4 seconds.

And that's probably why Fender discontinued it. Too much bang for too little buck.

I bought a head unit used on eBay and I don't remember how much I paid for it but I know it was a damn good price. I subsequently ordered a Mustang 3 cabinet if someone had stripped out the electronics modified it and mounted Electro-Voice 12 XL I think it is oh my goodness what a monster I've created. Makes for a really slick looking mini stack and very capable of barroom gigs. Unfortunately chemotherapy has created a condition in my hands called neuropathy which limits by ability to play not that I was ever Stevie Ray Vaughan to begin with but I can barely play it all these days. I have all the kit I could ever want it this point except my hands no longer will cooperate. So keep on picking you never know when someday you won't be able to. Look what they claim happened to Keith Emerson.

I have an Orange Crush 35 W solid state amp, which is great, but when playing with a band I can't get it loud enough without distorting the sound. So I'd like to invest to a louder amp with more clean head room. Would you suggest this one is that much louder (and cleaner) than a 35W solid-state amp?
@stagedright52967 жыл бұрын
I have not personally played the Orange Crush 35 W solid state but in terms of loudness I have had no problem getting louder than the drummer on stage with this amp. It's very hard to compare the two in terms of output but in my experience multiply the tube watts by 3 and that will roughly get you to the same as solid state power produces. So in the case of the Superchamp X2 you would be at 45w Solid state power so yes I would say this amp would be louder than the Orange Crush you have. I will say that i normally mic this amp and run it through a PA system so that I always have PLENTY of head room. Cheers!

Mikko Kylmänen Fender Hot Rod series are really good sounding clean amps. I have a Deluxe and it's more than enough for what I do. They are pretty affordable too (you can find one used for $400 all day)

Hi, what voice preset would you recommend for a blackface kinda sound?
@stagedright52967 жыл бұрын
Hi lucavasconcellos, your best bet to get that classic blackface sound would be to use Voice settings 1,5,6, and 7. Voice 1 emulates the Fender Champ tweed. Even though it is tweed it was still considered blackface back in the day. Voices 5 and 6 emulate the 65' Princeton which was blackface, 6 is just slightly more crunchy. Voice 7 emulates the 65' Deluxe which again was another classic blackface. Hope this helped!

Thanks for the review, you have made up my mind to buy one. Can you use the reverb with tremolo and chorus?
@stagedright52967 жыл бұрын
davy rocket, great decision! You will love the Superchamp! Also, under the effect presets that come stock on the amp there is no way to use the reverb with tremolo and chorus. However, if you hook your amp up to your computer using the usb connection and Fender Fuze software (which is free BTW!) you will have the ability to mix and match as many effect/voice combinations as you'd like. Essentially with Fender Fuse you get a state of the art virtual pedalboard. You can also utilize presets that other musicians and professionals have created too so you can spend less time tinkering and more time playing!
