Nice teardown. It's a fine line between a beautiful old amp being untouched / being neglected. Why use a bodged up '6L6' on a fine amp like this! And remember, *real* amps are 240V! Good to see you back.

Thanks Chris. It's good to be back. I absolutely agree its always a juggling act between safety, repair and modification. In my view an amp that's destroyed itself from lack of service and updated components is way less desirable than one that is working great but not museum material.
