I absolutely can't say enough about the Gotoh 510 Trem-system on my 2014 Suhr. The Tuning-stability and Return-to-Pitch is Phenomenal. I am Amazed, everytime - that I use it. I will Never be without = Ended my Search for a floating-tremolo system . . . "That Actually Works" oNe LovE from NYC

Thank you for this very analytic review! I'm building a parts-caster and still haven't decided for a bridge. Your video made my choice for the Gotoh very easy. It has more overtones and sounds more "alive" to me.

If you get your hands on a 510T-LS1...the zinc block with the FST mechanism....would love to hear a comparison between it and the Fender.
@redrocker105510 ай бұрын
I think it probably has more to do with the block than the trem unit. The push in arm is nice, but if you already have the Fender bridge, I don't think it's a big enough difference to justify the cost, in my opinion.

Thank you for this video. I just purchased a Gotoh 510 and can't wait to try it. The main reason for me to change the bridges, fender saddles are much softer than hardened steel saddles on gotoh. I am constantly breaking the D string on fender. I play 4 hour-long gigs 6 days a week and each week the saddles on fender need polishing to remove string dents.
@AydinZahedi Жыл бұрын
Nice man! I hope the Gotoh works well for you and solve the problem. I personally am happy with the upgrade. wow! I wish I could play that many gigs! Rock on!

Hey mat, Thank you very much :) It's called Curmix by Motu. I have a Motu 828x that comes with that software. Yes it does allow you to compare audio samples. I think You can download Cue mix with any Motu products, But I'm not %100 sure.

Hello, I'm thinking about putting a Gotoh Tremolo god in my Fender Standard. One question: - Do the pivot bushings fit into the fender hole? Do you need any adjustments to the wood/body of the guitar?
@AydinZahedi10 ай бұрын
Hi, No need to make any modifications as long as you are happy to use the Fender's sleeves and posts. you can just take the Fender tremolo out and put the Gotoh in. but if you want to use Gotoh's studs you need to take the sleeves out of the body and replace it with Gotoh's sleeves which are slightly wider.
@ceduardojc10 ай бұрын
Hello, thank you very much, I chose to keep the original fender pivot instead of changing it. The 510 bridge is very responsive, the adjustment on the tremolo arm is wonderful. I really liked!@@AydinZahedi

Thanks for your video! Let me ask you something: Can I use the pivot screws of the Gotoh trem, on the original body bushings of the Fender trem? Again, thank you.
@AydinZahedi Жыл бұрын
HI, No worries, Thanks for watching. I'm think you are referring to the stud posts? if that's the case, No, the Gotoh Studs wont fit the pockets installed in the body, But you can use the Fender Studs with Gotoh trem. If you want to use the studs come with the Gotoh trem you have to take the pockets out make the holes bigger to fit the Gotoh pockets.

Hello! Thanks for review. For your opinion what is the best?
@AydinZahedi2 жыл бұрын
For a vintage sound Fender Tremolo, But overall Gotoh is better I think because the angel of. the arm is better, It's easier to put in the arm (For fender it's a screw and Gotoh is just a push in) and the quality is much higher. but as I said if one prefers a vintage sound definitely Fender is a better option.
@jorgerst Жыл бұрын
Quite a big difference. I can hear more harmonic content on the Fender bridge. Very apparent on the single high E string comparison.

@@AydinZahedi wow thats great.... according to you will this fit on a fender player series strat?
@AydinZahedi3 жыл бұрын
@@huka83 It should fit unless Fender have changed the tremolo size on the Player series, it's better if you measure it and compare it with the Gotoh on their website, That's what I did. Also, Keep one thing in mind. The studs that comes with the Gotoh have a different groove than the Fender tremolo studs and they won't fit inside the sleeves in the guitar. But the Fender's studs work fine with the Gotoh. I did not make an attempt to take the sleeves out and replace them with the Gotoh sleeves to fit the studs.

Gotoh, It fills better and it has a push in arm rather than screw in. It does sound warmer, But because I had high mid pickups on the guitar it boosted the mids even more, It sounds like Andy Timmons. I'm changing all the pickups to Area series from DiMarzio which has a brighter sound so it should balance the sound.

Would it fit a MIM strat?
@AydinZahedi3 жыл бұрын
It should, I think the MIM starts use the exact same tremolo size as American standard. But worth checking with fender and see if they use the same tremolo on the MIM. Also, Keep in mind that Gotoh's studs have a different threads to Fender so you won't be able to use the studs unless you take the sleeves out of the body and install the Gotoh's sleeves. But you can use the Gotoh with fender studs it just looks a bit weird. I have sent my guitar for Plek and asked them to replace the sleeves I will upload a new video as soon as I receive m y guitar.
