I go for the Warwick front pops slap part at 0:47 - this strong and percussive sound of the Warwick bass is fully suited to that groove, which you played brilliantly 👍

for bass, Warwick every time... 24 frets, way more versatile, and so, oh so much more comfortable to play than any fender... Fenders are classic, and have great sound, Warwick basses are basses thought out for actual bassplayers. Corvette and Thumb series being my favourites.

Both are great, the Fender has a more full sound I guess, and the Warwick sounds slightly more nasal, more mid heavy. Personally I'm more of a Warwick fan now, I find them more comfortable to play, but I love hearing a good Jazz bass! It's what I started on

I have Fender jazz and p bass, warwick corvette, Ibanez btb, musicman stingray.. but at the end of the day, jazz bass and ibanez btb prestige is my go to bass.. warwicks are heavy to use in 3 sets of gig.. stingray growls but lack of depth.. just my 2 cents ✌️😊 just remember that it's not the instrument that makes you play good.. it's the practice.. ive seen great players but they're only squiers, sire etc.. 😉

Excellent playing! Which do you prefer and why? Thanks.
@corvettestd34512 жыл бұрын
hmm it's difficult to decide...it depends on what I play. Fender is suited for mellow songs or quite songs, because it has richer overtone than Warwick I think. and more than anything, Fender reaches its sound's peak faster, which means it has good compression and more sound range. you can express the sound strength and weakness easier than Warwick. Warwick has low strings height, but the tension is higher than Fender. and MEC pickups sounds absolutely sharper and brighter, so it's suited for aggresive songs like metal music. actually I often use my vette for metalcore or heavy rock slap music. (Maximum the Hormone for example) and Warwick has faster sounds than Fender. It responds so quick, that rear pups sounds can respond to quite fast soloing, like Hadrien Feraud solo. In conclusion, I prefer Fender when I play songs kinda quite one (standing each instruments out in a band), and Warwick when I play aggresive music. sorry for ranting!
@valendis2 жыл бұрын
@@corvettestd3451 I agree with everything you just said ^^. I also find that in a band context the warwick is way better, at least in my experience, it sounds way tighter and in a rehearsal room or at a concert you can hear yourself way better than a Jazz bass. My band plays rock, hard rock so I agree that the 'wick suits more agressive music. I would also add that with the active EQ or the warwick you can get a way mellower sound by cutting on those high frequencies. I am comparing to a Squier though, not even close to being the same pricerange as a brand new corvette. Anyway, appreciate the channel, you're beast man, I wish I could play like you!
@corvettestd34512 жыл бұрын
@@valendis wow thank you for your comment! warwick sounds tigher and more solid, so in the end I often choose warwick when recording because it always sounds good as hell in the Line Audio. but when playing vette through amp, I mean not on headphones, I sometimes feel lack of dynamics and sound range, maybe resulting from the size of the body. so I use Fender like in that situation.
