We had a chance to demo a Fendt 939 and Horsch Maestro planter to get our white beans planted and happy to say both units operated flawlessly.

Here in western Oklahoma we went from running 1890 on 15” spacing to a 1790 on 20” spacing on the soybeans and cut our seed rate from 220k to 140k seed and still have a better stand and more consistent yield in different field conditions. Our beans are double crop behind wheat so our main issue was heavy residue. Thanks for sharing.

Yes it has been a while, but completely understand. And giving Jess the opportunity to make her own videos and help her deal with all this mess. You're one terrific father and husband, always having kind words about your wife, I like that. Ok being able to test out the different equipment is to me the best way to go and your feed back and demonstrations help a lot of farmers I'm sure. So thank you for sharing your experiences and new machinery. Now as far as being consistent,for me it's no big deal. I do enjoy listening to you and all the different things that you talk about, but taking care of your crops is number one. Guess I've missed the combine somewhere along the line, but that's OK, it will give me something to look forward to. Once again thank you for a very informative video, enjoyed it so much. And definitely feel for you on temps, it was 91 and super humid, I was outside trying to work on my flower bed and water was just dripping of of me. After about 2 hours I had to call it quits. Ii think its going to be a very hot and rough summer. I'm going to miss Jess when she goes off to school, she just has a fantastic attitude, really like that young lady. Ok going to buzz have written a short story here lol. But have missed your great videos and hope this finds all well with you and family. Take care and best always Rusty in OK

We demoed a horsch split row planter its 16 rows on corn and 31rows on soybeans. We actually bought the demo and we really like it. We can plant corn at 9mph and beans at 9 to 11 mph with perfect seed placement. Our planter is on tracks with liquid fertilizer and hydraulic down force and hydraulic row cleaners.

Really good to see a new video from you Mark and always appreciated. It sounds like you have some great dealerships around you and great to hear your opinions. Completely understand where your going planting wise abd seems strange that manufactures can't come up with one machine that plants all. I know your not looking for one but you would not regret getting a fendt if the time ever came around. Highly popular over here as is Horsch tackle. The Fendts are really comfortable to operate but the bonus is how fuel efficient they are. As you mentioned in this video, you can pull impliments at lower rev's which means less fuel burnt. The start of Harvest is not that far away here either so stay safe and I look forward to the Combine update.

Okay interesting segment. Are you going to update us on the growth of the seed from the new planter? The difference in the yield? The time and fuel saved? Would it help you if new lease ground became available you would have the time to get out and plant it? It didn't look like it would be that hard to store your shop is really pretty big. Oh yeah excuse me it's been a long day from a farmer dude I'm a retiree excuse me it's been a long day it's not even lunch yet!

Seeing as your winter canola is pretty early are you gonna try some double crop beans? They say you’ve got till July 5 to get them in safely in your area haha be a cool trial
@nealhadley14823 жыл бұрын
I think I would have to disagree on the dry fertilizer seeders. I have actually seen them on Brian's farms,MontanaFast Ag,a d Welker Farms,I believe. But I must say it must be crazy nice having access to this modern farm technology and equipment. When I was growing up on the dairy farm, it was NOTHING like it is now. But then with fewer farms now days,the ones that are left have the load of feeding the world.

Lot going on with the machinery, bit of a German thing going on with Horsch, Fendt and I suspect Class. But with so few workers your going to need reliable kit on a tight schedule. John Deere and your Western Canada guys may get a look in, you have some buying power with the large acreage farmed. Good luck from your Commonwealth friends in the UK.

How do you like the Fent compared to your Deere? All I have drove is Deeres,International, Versatile,and Case,oh ya,I got to drive a big Ford 4×4,which the Versatiles were. It took some time getting use to the steering in the middle compared to the front steer only. Some of the bomb loader carts in the military were rear steering, and that took some getting use to.

'pro type planter'----I wonder what the amateur planter looks like? Can that monster plant in a no till setting with lots of matter on and in the ground? And lastly does it, or your unit, vary the application of chemical as per sampling you've done on your soil? The family that KZbins together, stays together!
