Fendt has significantly redesigned the control levers, armrests and monitors. The top agrar technical team has tried out the new Fendt One operating concept with two tractors.
A 314Vario (Gen4) and a 722 Vario (Gen6) were available for our practical use. We used the two tractors with knife rollers, plow and drill. The most striking features are the (up to) three monitors and the armrest with the new drive lever. It now bundles all operating functions. Many control elements can be configured, i.e. assigned individual functions. But that's not completely free. The selection of functions is limited for some keys so that it does not become confusing later.
The keys are assigned via drag & drop or tapping on the touch monitor. That was relatively easy and largely self-explanatory.
So that the driver does not lose track of things, there are display LEDs in the control elements that even change their color to match the selected function. The "color theory" behind the entire concept is logical and has proven itself at Fendt: Orange for the drive train, yellow for the PTO, blue for hydraulics, white for comfort functions and petrol for multiple functions (e.g. Isobus or headland management).
