actually if u know a bit of cantonese u might find the names stunning (especially the dragons in wong lung hang) for example the longest waterfall is called 鳳舞瀑, 鳳 means phoenix, 瀑 is a waterfall, and 舞 means dancing so it is actually named for a dancing phoenix

Thanks for the feedback! I had heard some of those names on some other forums where this area is discussed... I believe Lantau Peak is actually also named after a phoenix, is it? I think the vertical rock wall to the right of this waterfall is also the "Phoenix Feather Wall" or Feng Yu wall? Best wishes, Richard.

Yes, and all of the streams from lantau peak is named after the phoenix Lantau peak is named as phoenix because it has 2 peaks, the 934m one is named 鳳 (male phoenix) and the 918m subpeak as 凰 (female phoenix)
