You can use Divert Power when you have shields, it doesn't kill your shields when you activate it, only when it runs out of time.

@@ChristopherLMunoz Why tho? It takes one reading to understand how it works. "Activate to gain 40% Basic Attack damage for 5 seconds. Basic Attacking a Hero refreshes this duration. Once Divert Power: Weapons ends, drain all of Shield Capacitor's Shields."

Hey Pally, slight correction: You mentioned you were going to fire Planet Cracker at the Keep to finish it if it didn't die, but PC does not do damage to structures. It's a non-structure ult like Hammer's BFG.

Back when I played I played Fenix relatively often and a tip to make Plasma Cutter more effective is when you're using it in melee range walk around your target in the opposite direction it spins so you can actually hit the target more times than if you just stand in place. I want to say you can hit up to 6+ times rather than the 3 or 4 it normally does. But I haven't played in probably over a year so idk if that still works.

That's not how Divert works, you lsoe the shield after the buff expires but you can keep the buff going like Valla's Hatred.

There is one very important trick with fenix, and that is how to get an extra laser hit on enemies. The laser starts at a point and does 2(3 with quest) clockwise rotations. But if you start the laser just where it hits the enemy hero at the beginning of the rotation and move a bit, the laser also hits them at the end of the rotation as well. So you can get 3 hits in 2 rotations or 4 hits in 3 rotations. But this is hard to adaptively plan for so here is how you memorize it: If you begin the game at left, try to engage your enemies from the top, start the laser just above them and then move downwards. If you begin at the right base, try to engage your enemies from the bottom, start the laser just below them and move upwards. Just these rules of thumb can make a massive difference. These are not applicable everywhere, like when you are chasing them down or up, but they are pretty common. If you want a all applicable rule, always move counterclockwise and always place the laser to the opposite side of your enemy to your movement direction. The reason you want to engage from the top when starting left for example is, if you instead engaged from the bottom, you would need to move towards the enemy team to get an extra damage tick, which is very dangerous.

19-4 now following your builds. Fenix is my most played hero and my third highest winrate hero at ~62% so I had no doubt about being able to win this one. This character has been my go to character since he entered the nexus, my go to hero when I need to snap a losing streak. Other than the level 1 talent this was an entirely new build for me. I don't typically play any of the builds listed in this video and instead play more of a plasma cutter build with the less health more shields talent at 13, the increased speed when you lose your shields at 4, and the other ult. I still played him basically the same but some talents were weird not to have. Of all the new talents divert power was the most interesting as it gave me some burst damage I haven't had in the past so I might keep taking that one. The numbers you gave in the intro are really surprising to me. He's a damn good hero and easy to play so I'd think that'd make him more popular

Fenix is tricky, all about utilising your bonus move speed at 4 to position where you can auto attack without being focused and using your shields to sustain in the solo lane. It is also worth mentioning that there are some hard counters to fenix to consider in ranked like Varian and Morales who can take talents to remove shields and delete him.

5:14 if I'm correct this exploit (which consists in quickly swapping between firing modes to reset the aoe attack timer and attack with it at a faster fire rate) was fixed a long time ago, and now swapping quickly actually makes you lose single target damage because of the small internal cooldown.

7:46 this also changed forever ago, now the shield doesn't drain immediately, instead the attack damage bonus lasts for 5 sec that get refreshed at every autoattack, and when this timer runs out the shields get drained.

Hey Pally, congrats on that victory, it was a pretty fun match! However I have two tips I can give you for Fenix: 1) advanced targetting goes really well with CDR at 16 and the plasma cutter fires purification salvo at 20 (you can pick planet quacker and still pick that talent in 20) 2) When in team fights pew pew, no pow pow. Have a nice one!

The level 1 you picked is more than camps it slows them allowing you to move faster or even your ult does more to slowed . Level 7 use attack speed bonus from warp imagine using your lvl 1 slow your lvl 7 attack speed lvl 13 armor level 16% dps and level 20 attack speed use my build one day!!!! And level 10 is the other ult use that with your q other you tubers say I’m too ambitious because of that build

The reward of Advanced Targeting is not worth the time it usually takes to finish it. Plus, the bonus dmg from Mobile Offense really shines with all the other AA talents. I suggest Q talents for people who aren't familiar with his playstyle or AA Heroes in general. Fenix is so strong if you can micro him with stutter stepping and swapping between weapon modes. Outside of that, he is average at best.

You haven't played Fenix a lot, you wanna know his greatest weakness? He's so fat. Fatter than he has any right to be. There are many skillshots in the game that any other assassin can dodge by sidestepping a certain small distance, but not Fenix. Fenix needs to walk a greater distance to get out of the way. I love him though, despite his thiccness.
