Fenix vs. FSLabs Comparison Part 1 -Cockpit-

Hello guys. As described, I am only concerned with an objective comparison of the capabilities of the two addons. Test.exe, malware or other topics from the past are not the topic. Please note this. I will remove any comments, as they are not effective.

The video was WAY too fast and didn't give me enough time to even pause to look at everything. Also you should frame the video side by side so you can directly see the differences better

You can pause the video using the space bar. KZbin also offers the option to slow down the video. To do this, click on the gear icon at the bottom.

I'm more than happy with the whole Fenix fleet. Don't regret it any moment. One of the best payware addons ever for flight simulation.

Imo the fslabs MCP panel and center pedastal (and pratically everything else excluding the overhead) looks more like asobo texturing in contrast to the fenix, it's the same with the lights just seems exactly like asobo's MCP panel lights. I find it really weird and I don't know if it's just me.

Graphics-wise fenix definitely wins, I was surprised by that, though I was expecting Fslabs to do better than that. The look of the thrust levers, flap, and spoiler handles shocked me, Fslabs is way behind, the throttles looked oversized and less detailed. Fenix's attention to detail is amazing, it's really an eye candy. I wonder if fslabs flies better than fenix, if so, it would be a draw.

Fenix simulations and flight model were literally pulled out of a real a320 simulator to train pilots so of course there will be nothing better A32s than fenix a320 anywhere

fsl is already great, but unfortunately met fenix, I hope they will continue to polish the product, I look forward to their NEO. (Does anyone know how long it will take for neo to be listed)

@@CreativeJJJJs Yes, the plan is a lot of more Videos. The next upcoming Video is the outside modeling. A video about the cabin is planned. This is followed by the dynamic components (primary and secondary flight control surfaces), Engine spool up an so on. Stay tuned.

So during your Test.exe of both aircraft, which do you prefer of the two?

@@sanndman88 Independent of the test.exe, which is not the topic here, I would prefer the Fenix as a complete package. However, that’s my personal opinion. Every aircraft has its strengths and weaknesses. It is important to remember that my comparison is only one-to-one. I cannot judge which system is implemented more or less realistically, as I am not a real pilot.

Both simulations run very well on my system. However, this always depends a lot on your own system. I would say that the FSL runs better on my hardware configuration.

Well, grphically FSLabs is inferior, but that's not their selling point. I cannot wait for someone who would compare system simulation and overall vibe.

That‘s right. I will try to compare the aircraft systems in the future. But it will be a 1 to 1 comparsion as well. Cause i am not a real life pilot and i can not judge, which system operate more realistic.

The flight model is where the FSLabs is really far superior, especially the flare. In almost all other areas they're about equal or the Fenix is better.

I think you're completely skipping over the levels of system depth that fslabs has over fenix.

@@skeppo5586 mcdu startup is way more realistic, aoc simulation is much better, engine bleeds are much more accurate, techlog simulation is a very nice touch, gps jamming, and aside from systems the snow and icing simulation is just awesome.

@@skeppo5586 Pointless to explain. Search it. FSLabs goes way back. The Fenix is not coming anywhere close to the FSLabs. Even FSLabs in Prepar3D far superior to the Fenix... Engine mode selector in the Fenix, engine PSI is available right away, in FSLabs you can wait and see the PSI readings incrementing --- properly modeled even in Prepar3D, many other details that be too long to enumerate here...
