But Ragnarok begins with Fenrir unchaining himself and devouring Odin. So if the gods had not tricked Fenrir, Ragnarok would not happen. That's the moral of the story, Odin wants to stop Ragnarok but instead, he actually puts it in motion.

I think he was aggressive, even by norse standards. I read that he was quite destructive as well. But I think it was less him being evil and more a result of his strength and energetic and playfull nature. In short a big powerful animal that was both aggressive and had a lot of energy. But the gods, and especially Odin, feared Ragnarök and this made them view Fenrir as being worse than he was.

Hate to break it to you, but wolves cheat on their mates a lot… sometimes even with their own siblings or offspring. Penguins do too, to the point of literally prostituting themselves for pebbles. Owls are usually pretty loyal, but that’s mainly because they’re extremely territorial. However, if their mate dies, they’ll take a new one right away

It's crazy if you think about it. If the gods didn't knew about the future of Ragnarok then their might've been a chance that Ragnarok didn't even happen. The only reason Ragnarok took place, was because Odin feared it and tried to prevail it..... Well, that is a great excuse for me not to build a time machine 🙃. You just can't change the future.

Honestly, Fenrir is right for wanting revenge. Imagine the people you consider family, and even your best friend growing up, betrayed you. Mythologies like North and Greek often shows that the supposed “villains”, are the victims. Really sad
