Its weird when people think they can tell anything about a person who is on Opiates. Opiates deaden EVERYTHING in a person. You have no clue whats behind those eyes. I know, because I used to be one. I spent 2 decades of my life surrounded by these people. NOTHING shines through. You are witnessing a facade. His soul is dead. He can be reborn, and rejuvinated, but not until he stops using Opiates.

@@phyllysanantonio You people aren’t feeling empathy. You’re in your misguided emotions believing whatever you assume about what you’re watching to be true. That’s the biggest problem with social media. Too many ignorant people copying whatever everyone else in the comments is saying instead of speaking their mind they’re spreading false narratives because they believe their assumptions are facts when in reality they’re clueless af. That why you get so triggered easily when comments don’t agree with you and bust your delusion. 😂

It's such a shame when gentle souls like this get swept up in addiction. 13 addicted to pain pills, how can a kid even have a chance? I hope Brandon manages to escape this life, you can tell he's a good person. You deserve better Brandon.

@@StilettoCutsQuick. Very good point. And is a very real result of remaining too soft and emotional passed childhood. Add in additional abuse and trauma that would ruin anyone... But done to a soft gentle emotional sensitive person, this becomes life ending and you spend years going to war with your own self to simple try to find a way to be on earth even one more day. The torment of the mind in modern man due to such far and fast removal from our natural habitat is unpresidented. The collective chaos and agony and confusion I believe is a powerful and altering force on this entire world. Personally I can FEEL it and hear it and see it... And unless there are those above who have better understandings and grips on our world... I anticipate will be the near end of our species. Surely the end of anything we could relate to the societies that we knew and live in now

It's crazy cause this is how the real story for addicts goes. Word for word. It's sad. His story sounds just like mine. I finally got clean at 31 years old. I'll be 3 years clean in April. I never thought I'd get out but I did and I pray for all addicts to reach recovery and see the beautiful life like I am seeing now cause it is possible it really is. Dont ever feel alone guys there is someone out there that cares. I feel like this guy is the old me sitting in the chair telling his story. Brandon Brother if you read this your loved and you will get clean again and see the beautiful life one day I just know it. Prayers for you

It doesnt matter if "someone out there cares". The ONLY person that matters, is the addict themselves. You know this. The cliche, "You have to do it for yourself, no one else", is a cliche because its true. All of us addicts had people smothering us with their love, but we couldnt see it, because we where blinded by the dope, and our own self loathing. No one can overcome addiction until they themselves start to care about themselves. Unless this man begins to love himself, he will die an addict.

I'm a functioning opioid addict. While it was a very gradual thing, similar to this guy, taking parents meds when I had them, my true addiction didn't start until my late 20s when I had a legit medical issue. From then on (3 years ago) I've gone probably half that time abusing, even if it's in small amounts. But watching your video reminds me that if I were to go any higher dosages than I do, that I may end up penniless homeless.

Crack or cocaine mixed with alcohol is the worst drug for the heart, in fact not only does it raise blood pressure and heart rate like meth does, it is also actually toxic to the heart itself, the local anaesthetic action of cocaine causes the heart to beat in an irregular fashion and cause changes in the heart shape known as cardiac remodelling, increasing the risk of valve disorders and heart failure in later life.

That's probably the reason he "can't overdose". I think the meth has actually saved his life from overdosing. All an OD is is just your brain stops receiving oxygen because your body is asleep. You can't really overdose if you're stuck awake on meth. I bet he'd be dead by now if he wasn't doing both.

Dear Brandon, you are an insightful and compassionate soul. After watching your interview i am inclined to believe that you have some good things ahead for you when your time come to kick. To make your withdrawal less awful consider high oral doses of cannabis concentrates. Someone I know has a theory about getting off drugs he calls the Open Window. He believes that in our life cycles, we can periodically take advantage of "windows", periods of time wherein basic needs are filled and we are able to create some distance from the chaos of the daily grind and toxic people. Minimally a window of 10-30 days can get you started but you already know that may not be enough time to stabilize stay clean long term. When the time comes and the confluence of factors makes the open window available, jump out and don't look back. While you are waiting, give some thought to what you really love in life. I get the impression that you have a profound love of life itself and it seems that saving lives is important to you. Street outreach and harm reduction work might be right for you if it is not too triggering. I've never been an opiate guy so I can't honestly say I know how hard it really is. What I can tell is that you are a moral and conscientious man, if you can process your shame via radical acceptance and engage your passions, a good life is on the other side.

Street EMT. This channel has showed me to have more humanity with those less fortunate than myself. Now when I see a struggling person, I wonder what happened to them to put them there versus when I was a younger and more ignorant and would wonder “why don’t they just get a job like the rest of us”.

my sister is in middle of drug addiction right now. its hard to watch someone go down that road as you can only do so much to try and help as she refuses to even admit she has a problem and scoffs at any attempt to get her to a rehab facility.

Similar story Drugs killed everybody around me, even me. Somehow I didn’t stay dead though. Probably because it’s not my time yet. Been clean from fentanyl, meth, and all the others since sometime at the beginning of 2022. Don’t even focus on the amount of clean time I have, just focus on trying to live my life in a healthy way since I never learned how.. this life is one hell of a trip..

Thank you Brandon for telling your story. Insightful, honest and compassionate and also traumatized by your pain. I feel like you are here for a reason and this interview will help remind others of the humanity inside us. My freedom came from DBT & CBT methods to my suprise. For the first time in my 51years Im able to feel comfortable in my own skin. Once again I would like to say thank you, I truly hope that you will find your way and I wish you joy.

Yeah Troy, so rare to hear of a good stepdad. Brandon seems like a good guy, people from Beaumont are good people. You're still young, you can have a great life, or alternatively probably end up ODing and dying in the street and break your momma's and siblings' hearts. Which path will you choose?

On Mark's work, I think its benefits vary. For some of the subjects, I think they come in for the pocket money they get and it is totally meaningless to them. To others, I think it maybe helps to talk about it, but likely much less than talking to a psychologist or at an an AA or NA meeting. I think it definitely benefits SOME viewers struggling with addictions to hear these stories. 100% on that. However, other addicts like hearing drug talk, even if it's bad stuff. Addicts minds are weird, they can watch this stuff and then want to do drugs. Trust me, talking from experience. There are also viewers that are just voyeurs being entertained by watching train wrecks. And then still others that learn to be empathetic. Anyway, definitely a mixed bag, with benefit reaped more by some on the viewer side, I'd say.

Many years ago I would call this man my brother and would hang out every chance we had to go and visit with him and his family in Bridge City. Even after the breaking of our 2 family’s I tried to stay in touch through social media but about 3-4 years I remember hearing he went missing and his family was looking for him on Facebook and that he had took a bus to Cali. I remember him and I would love to smoke so me thinking he just left Texas to be around some legal, not thinking this would be his new life. I always knew he had struggled with different drugs but every time I was around I never saw it. A lot of great memory’s come up when watching this video. I’m sorry I didn’t stay in touch and even be there for Blake we would always say we were gonna hang out and still never get the chance. I doubt he’s checking this videos comments but brotha I’m sending the most positive thoughts and prayers and if you haven’t already please go home I’m sure your family misses and loves you so much. Also I remember you and your brother came down to visit me and stayed a weekend and all my friends thought your nicknames were the funniest thing ever. Just had to share that memory. ❤David

I hope this kid gets clean. I was 21 when I got addicted to heroin , I'm 38 now. the struggle is real. I've had many small stints of clean time. somehow I always went back. I always told people, it's easy getting clean. you lock yourself in a room and sweat that shit out. I've done it more times than I can imagine. the hard part isn't getting clean, it's staying clean. heroin or any opiate addiction is more of a mental addiction than a physical one. you crave that warm blanket even when you know it's killing you. I've been good since Christmas day. kratom works well.
