When I broke my arm and they were setting it in the ER they gave me Fentanyl. Within a minute or two all my pain was gone and they could move my broken arm around and I didn't feel a thing. I did not experience any euphoria or side effects. This is how a pain killer is supposed to be used. Under medical supervision.

It's possible you were so high you didn't know it. Sounds stupid but it's possible. I find it extremely unlikely that you had enough Fentanyl to numb you completely yet not feel any euphoria. You were probably given a local anesthetic and do not remember it. Fentanyl commonly causes amnesia and almost invariably causes short to long term memory disruptions. While I agree one should only use Fentanyl under medical supervision, it's simply not likely that you were not intoxicated when addicts can walk around on it. Likewise, it's hard to get a noticable painkilling effect from an opioid dose that is below your threshold for euphoria. Edit. Did not consider that they administered it locally but even then I would think you'd get off on it. I assumed they gave you a patch in the ER or something.

She had brittle diabetes, osteoporosis, arthritis, chronic back pain, and there were mental health issues. The pain clinic prescribe smaller dosage of pain patch. She said that she just didn't feel right but didn't know why. She said towards the end of her life, that she felt like she was dying. She couldn't understand why they lowered the patch. She never abused her meds and always took them as prescribed. It's my opinion that it caused her to go into a respiratory arrest and cardiac arrest. I have known her almost 45 years. Don't do it. Patches can be accidentally activated to realise more dug than they are supposed to. I wasn't on a fentanyl patch, but I was on a buprenorphine patch, different drug, still an opioid pain killer, but not like fentanyl, luckily buiprenorphine has a ceiling effect and that means that its very hard to OD on it. I had been using these patches for a couple of months, and was starting to run out of places to put it, as they said not to use the same place for at least 4 or 5 cycles. So I looked at the instruction and it said you could place them on your chest too, so I did that. And then I went to bed that night, and unbeknown to me I had rolled over and started to sleep on my stomach that night. In doing so, obviously my chest and front heated up more, being against the bed. When I woke up, I was absolutely "shit faced" I had never been that high before, if I had been on a fentanyl patch I would have died. Old people have died on them because if they live in cold environments the use an electric blanket in doing so they inadvertently heat up the patch and cause more drug to be released and OD

@Amilah yeah the patches aren't always safe. Great in theory as a way to provide a drug over a long period of time to keep up analgesia, especially at home where you can't be out on an infusion drip, but as such you never truly know the dose.
@blackiesun5 жыл бұрын
@Amilah That's really irresponsible. I mean, it's fentanyl. You need to have a tolerance already to opioids to use it. Who uses potent opioids for a toothache? I am sure she feels extremely guilty but it could have been avoided. I am sure if it was called morphine some people would think twice before giving oxycodone or fentanyl, in this case, to other people for minor pain. That's because everyone knows morphine is a serious drug. It's like people think they're taking candies.

The patches have been a god send for me, taking my pain from an unbearable 9-10/10 to a 4/5 out of ten. I feel as though I have some of my life back. People who misuse opiate medications like Fentanyl make it so much harder for people like me who are living with chronic debilitating pain to gain access to the medications we need in order to live a life with less pain. No. Lots of other reasons. The war on drugs started mainly because of racial problems. Diacetylmorphine is used in the UK in hospitals as a painkiller, and from my knowledge more often than morphine. Its twice as potent, has a quicker onset than morphine, with peak analgesia at 1-2 mins whereas morphine takes 5 mins. The 2 main metabolites of Diacetylmorphine is morphine and 6MAM (and 3MAM in small amounts) 6MAM Cross the blood brain barrier very very quickly, and Diacetylmorphine is metabolised in 6MAM within 30 seconds. Diacetylmorphine is by all accounts a better painkiller in a hospital setting than morphine. They both last about 4 hours too. Fentanyl is important for extreme pain because of its incredibly quick onset of action, quicker than heroin or morphine, usually effects can be felt at the 20 second mark, and it also lasts only about 5-20mins. Its also used to induce anaesthesia.

@@jakexd5524 Agreed. The problem is, if anything, that people are given opioids and are not educated about it. I used the oral citrate 600mcg 4x day fo 20 yrs. I used it under medical supervision and the way it was prescribed by the doctor. I did not experience euphoria,only the ability to function at a tolerable level of pain. I knew the Feds were going to take the only medication that ever really helped me away because too many recreational junkies were killing themselves with it. I am now on Subutex but my quality of life has suffered immensely. It's always the responsible people who play by the rules that suffer the consequences for those who don't. It's the American Gov. way of doing things.

That sucks so much. Your doctor kicked you off after 20 years with no issues. That is Crazy. I wouldn’t ever imagine the government had any authority over the doctor to tell them to disregard all their education and experience, and be subjugated or manipulated in such a fashion. 🐠
@rolux48532 жыл бұрын
Can you explain to me how this works in the United States? I live in Europe and the doctor has the ability to legally prescribe opioids in the dose a person needs. He can take tolerance and how severe the pain is into account. Does the American government tell doctors they are only allowed to prescribe so much of a painkiller to a person without taking the persons individual pain, weight and tolerance into account? This is just crazy to imagine and hell for so many people that use opiates to kill the pain and live a normal live. Without any euphoria or „drugged out“ side effects. Just functioning normal again, before the pain came into their lives..

No it doesn't. I'm looking at the pill right now in real life and the detail in the M confirms it is legit. Do you see how the bottom part of the M is not pointed and looks like it was shaved off? It's right about at the middle. It looks like it should come up to a point but it's flattened out. Pharma.

PannduhHD 1. We do not know how widespread that quality of appearance is. 2. Of course it should be included. Someone could end up in significant danger when using those pills and it was recently posted to EcstasyData. Getting people to be very cautious about black market pills is always worthwhile.

The Drug Classroom What are you talking about yes we do lmao. Oh right you're just referring to XTC lab cuz you really don't do drugs or anything. Most fakes suck and are obvious. The 30 and the M is very spot and you don't ever see that. Most of the time the points are coming up and the 3 is not the proper 3. Those are probably only obvious by their size which I suspect would be similar to an A215.

To humanely treat the W/D from this drug, everything needs to be right including right medications , right doctors, right nurses, right upper management running the Detox Facility.

Saint Ke They either chew a high dose patch or getting in to hot a shower can release the medicine into the body to quickly causing the bodies respiratory system to slow down and stop. Or they can buy it on the streets, take too many pills and die. This is a last resort drug and the people who take it must be monitored closely by their doctor. I don't believe it's a drug that should be used for pain as the body becomes tolerant too quickly and therefore the person needs a higher dose. I pity anyone on this drug, I'm currently reducing now and it's pure agony. I wouldn't wish withdrawals on my worst enemy and I mean that.

i heard that fentanyl is being cut into almost all other kinds of drugs even weed but is the true and also why? is it to make people think the drugs are better than they are? is it to create addiction so dealers get more loyal customers? does it just save money or something?
@iKazed3 жыл бұрын
1) Yes, it is true. 2) Its superpotency allows you to stretch products way longer and transport equivalent "doses" in smaller quantities. Additionally it is fully synthetic and can be created without reliance on Poppy production and is relatively simple to synthesize. 3) Sometimes, yes, it's to increase the potency. You can get a similar effect with much smaller amounts. 4) No, it is no "more" addictive than any other opioid. It's also likely not being used because it's addictive and exploiting that. 5) Much, much cheaper. This is the main reason it has proliferated so much. There is a demand for opioids. Diverted pharma opioids have been reduced by prescription limit laws. Fentanyl can be synthesized and stretches drug supplies. Therefore fentanyl opportunistically filled the supply gap.

My cousin died while high on Fentanyl. He chewed a 1/2 a patch then had the bright idea to get on his friend's motorcycle. He went way too fast, going to his mom's house to show it off. He ended up driving the bike into a tree at the front edge of her property. His body (on the inside) and the bike exploded into a bunch of pieces. His mom and several other family members were there to see it. He'd had an on and off addiction problem (one of those ppl who'll use anything they can get their hands on) for most of his teenage and adult life. He was only 22. Don't ever try drugs even once. It isn't worth it.
@AqierDesigns5 жыл бұрын
I disagree. while what happend to your family is very sad, LSD cured my depressions. I did almost all drugs out there and mostly have just good memories about them. I can say that drugs did make many parts of my life better. of course I had also bad experiences with drugs. I'd compare drugs to a girlfriend. You can have the best moments with her, but if you end up getting to in love and she ends up to be a bad influence on you, you will have bad experiences with it. I had good experiences with pretty much all drugs, except ecstasy. Even tho I like dit at first, I once had a bad trip that made me stay away from any drugs for 2years, even alcol. Drugs can be GOOD if people can take them responsibly and have a neutral education about them (pros and cons). main issue with all the drug deaths are caused because of he druglaws and the fact that many don't even know what they're putting in their system. Example: If Drugs were legal, you could buy pure coke. YOu'd know the purity and how much it is. Most people don't want to OD, and they're respnoisble and smart enough to know how to dose it. But since drugs are illegal, they put toxic things into coke or even sell completly other things as coke to people. suddenly taking drugs becomes a russian roulet. Also don't tell people to say no to drugs. people want to have diffrent state of minds and its normal and natrual. its done since the beginnging. even cave paintings show people eating shrooms and than have shrooms growing out of them (which is a typical psychedelic vision to have on psylocibin, active ingreedient in psychedelic shrooms). We let people drink alcol, which is one of the most damaging drugs out there, but we blame people who want to experience god through LSD. War on drugs is pointless and only causes harm. and nixon's aid even admited that war on drugs was only held for political reasons not for any harmreduction reasons. edition.cnn.com/2016/03/23/politics/john-ehrlichman-richard-nixon-drug-war-blacks-hippie/index.html

Thx. Very professional info & vid. Im glad u mentioned that alot of recreational users arent aware the fentanyl is in the mix. Yes l understand the reason behind making a counterfeit pressed pill w fent for profit & quantity & l know some people prefer the fent pills cause their tolerance is so high. But the part that l dont get & is not cool at all is that they should inform the consumer that the pill is made w fentanyl rather than oxycodone etc. Especially when making them look exactly like a oxycodone m30 from mallinckrodt. Need to tell u that its fent if it is so u can dose accordingly to your tolerance & prevent od. When someone wants & thinks & is told that the pill is oxycodone & looks just like a oxycodone then it needs to be oxycodone. Not fentanyl. Very important. If want the fent ones, ask for fent & if want the oxy ones, ask & get oxy. Shouldnt be no dishonestity. Thats my question. Why dont they always inform if fentanyl is in them? Would prevent ods. For example: Aint noone oding on 5mg oxy but 5mg fent can put u out. U said if got any questions to ask so thats mine. Please someone tell me what they think the reasoning would be. Just dont make sence. I know if l was selling fent pills ld def tell the consumer that fent was in them. Wtf. Thx
